Ellen voted herself off of Idol

I like Ellen but I too am totally bored with AI. I don't know if even new judges can help!

I miss Paula, maybe she was a bit inebriated here and there but she was an enjoyable presence and the chemistry of her, Simon and Randy made the show. Simon was the heavy, Paula was the softie and Randy was like the viewers. Just another case where the suits start tinkering and everything implodes. They should have just left it alone and continued to bring in more celebrity visiting judges, that was enjoyable.

I agree! There was a chemistry there that doesnt exist anymore. Kind of like the sum was better than the parts. But now, without Simon, I just dont how any of this will work. I couldn't even watch last season.

I didn't mind Kara, either. Maybe they're trying to stir things up so much that people will have to tune in, at least at first, just to see how weird it is.

As far as changes go, I'd have rather them changed the voting so that a phone # could only vote once. But then they couldn't do their whole annoying "We had a record 533 zillion and fifty-four voters last night!!!"

Word is Kara is out and Stephen Tyler is in. So it will be Stepehen Tyler, JLo and Randy Jackson. That's a flop waiting to happen.

This is pure speculation on my part, but do you think another reason Ellen left was b/c Portia is pregnant? I have not seen anything to even suggest it, but just something I thought of.

I couldn't care less if the 3 Stooges judged it as long as Kara's OUT! I had to fast forward or mute her every time she spoke and I hated the way she fawned all over Simon. Simon was the only credible judge they EVER had.

I will miss SIMON, I love the way he knew the business so well. For me it was not about his cockiness or rudeness. SIMON KNEW MUSIC.

Steven Tyler excites me. J.Lo eh. I can't believe I will admit this but I actually liked Victoria Beckham as a guest judge. I thought she was good. I wouldn't mind seeing her.

glad ellen is gone, I hated how she had to add a joke to everything as soon as she opened her mouth, yeah, I know she is a comedian, but it got old quick. Kara, didn't care for her much.

I didn't tune in last year because of Ellen. They might as well have signed Rush up, just as controversial and relavent as Ellen.

I am not a huge fan of Steven Tyler or JLo but I can at least stomach watching them and may tune in again. I wish Simon would of stayed though. I can't see this show working well without him.

Well I'll be...just when I was ready to pull the plug on Idol, they go and stick in actual music industry talent! Steven Tyler? Yes please! Jennifer Lopez? No, not a fan, but she is something of an icon, so again...yes.

Frankly, the only way this show has a prayer is by throwing EVERYTHING AND the kitchen sink at it. Big talent, big stakes, big productions. Everything. Sounds like they are on their way.

I really hope they dump Randy and do a completely new judging panel.
