Elf on the Shelf: Cheapest price?

Hi, Got the Elf on the Shelf for my kids last year and had a blast! Can't wait until he "appears" again the day after Thanksgiving.

I'd like to get some of them for some friends. Does anyone know where to find them or order them for less than 29.99? It seems like that's the only price I can find. Thanks!

They had tons of them on Friday night at our local Borders. I do think they were $29.99 but if you have a Border's Rewards card you might be able to apply some of their coupons. Sometimes they have x% off of anything in the store. My "kids" are 18 and 21 so I won't be purchasing one but they look really cute!

I saw them at Borders on Sunday and could not find the price. I looked them up online when I got home and they were $29.99 as a previous person mentioned. As mentioned earlier you can get some great coupons from Borders. I think you can sign up online and also receive coupons from them.

My kids are older also, but I thought about buying one. I thought it would be something neat to have and keep around for grandkids in the future. My mom always had one when we were growing up, but it never had a name. We also did not have a book. It was just an elf that she said watched over us at Christmas. I wish we would have known the story back then.

She's very cute! I love the idea of the Elf on the Shelf, but the one's with the plastic heads freak me out a bit.

I KNOW! Me, too! LOL I actually bought a real elf on the shelf last year. LOL I just couldn't even take him out of the box. I sold him & bought this one. My DD named her Flickers. Santa should be delivering her in a couple weeks. Can't wait til the Elf thread starts w/ everyone sharing pics of what their elves got in to in the night. Can't remember which board that's on...

I think if you go to Hallmark on this coming Friday or Saturday they give you a bag to save 20% on whatever you buy. So you could buy it then.

And about the elves with the plastic faces, those are a bit odd looking, but they are the vintage look. My parents
have an elf that looks just like elf on a shelf, from the 40's.

I got Jingles from Marshalls.

This is him after he got into a bag of candy he got for my niece and nephew. I have no kids of my own but the kids come over several times a week and he surprises them here

I didn't think they'd be too into him but they have actually asked about him through the year. He came the day after thanksgiving in a big box.. santa had written a letter to let them know and included a book (which I wrote and printed and stapled) about a week prior.

Jingles was $7 or $8 I think.... I like him because his arms and legs are bendable.

He is so cute, I think that is one of the Anna Lee dolls. I am pretty sure Tuesday morning carries them I will go check it out!

I love this idea, just found a few cute options on Ebay and on the magic elf website there is a magic reindeer on sale for 12.00.

I cant wait to do this, I have a feeling this is the last year my 7 yr old will believe so I have big plans to make this Christmas filled with magic for him!!!

I like the Elf on a shelf doll, reminds me of of an elf my grandmother had on her tree.
