Elevator in Columbia Harbor House

When we did the Keys to the Kiiingdom tour one member of the tour was wheelchair bound. We ate lunch at CHH. The Tour Guide escorted her backstage to an elevator to the second floor. I don't think it is available to the general public

There's reserved seating downstairs for wheelchairs. My DD uses one at Disney, so that's the only reason I know this!

True. We took the KttK tour while I was on my ECV. I was guided thru the backstage (kitchen) area to a small elevator. But in honesty, this could not be considered an elevator for regular diners to use to get upstairs.

My 2 cents about reserved handicap tables downstairs. When it's rush hour, they are full. I travel with one other, or solo. My last visit I sat at a table next to the cashier stations. I think this was a utility table for workers. It was noisy and people in line were 2 ft from me, but it served its purpose. CHH is a tough venue for ppl with wheelchairs or ECVs.

I wish. What ever happened to the test at Backlot Express where they brought your food to the table? I was hoping for that at CHH. I'm perfecly able bodied but I need a third hand, two for the tray and one for the stair rail; I'm just too uncoordinated. I've actually wondered if I ditched the tray and just carried my drink cup in one hand and my plate in the other if I'd be better off (instead of a full cup sliding around the tray and ending up on the stairs - BTDT). I guess I could always eat outside if the weather's decent.

You can ask a CM for help, they will very gladly do it......I always have to ask if I'm alone....I have balance issues and must hold the railing and cannot really carry anything, let alone a drink AND plate. I have never ever been denied help, or made to feel like I was inconveniencing anyone. I usually ask the cashier only because then they get someone from the floor over by the time my food comes so that I don't have to ask the one who delivers my food and then take up space in that cramped area waiting for my helpful CM.
