Thanks Daisuke! DH was happy to see more pictures of the arcade. :)

And just to clarify. DH wasn't trying to start a rumor that they used emulators he just offered that as one possible explaination for why someone might have thought the games were off. From the pictures DH thought they looked like original arcade machines but it's hard to tell for sure.

Oh yeah it is hard to tell what the guts are inside and old video game. It like putting a modern engine in a classic car. :confused3

I wonder, if you play new games on a pc or game system, if old games seem slow? This has happened to me, but I don't know if it is common.

i have not played teh games yet.. but im sure th games are just fine! im sure they are just so much fun!

I'll be in DL in a little over 2 weeks and I cannot WAIT to go to ElecTRONica. Glowjitos and Digitinis here I come! :cool1::dance3::banana::banana:

Sorry, but I spent a lot of time in the Arcades of the 80's. This is what I found spending a few minutes with the machines.

1. Pac Man, runs fast (about 50%) and the control stick is sloppy and slow.

2. Joust, also faster than original with a bad control stick.

3. Dig Dug, worked OK... But I the sound was very low.

The thing I missed the most was that the sounds of the games were turned off or very low while TRON Music is played over speakers.

The Wii TRON Game was fun but its not the same thing

Flynn's has the look, the games, but not the soul. :confused3

Just the opinion of an old game junkie...

yeah I noticed that too. when I go into an arcade I like hearing the sounds and music of the games and stuff like that. you walk into this one and it's classic rock, people talking, and air hockey. which is fine, but the the game music. us geeks and nerds love the game music.

now I'm gonna be listening to kingdom hearts, zelda and final fantasy on the way to school again =P

so does anyone else have photos from electronica? i will get more photos tonight of the games if i remember.....

Got home from ElecTRONica about an hour ago and figured I'd post some photos. Soooo here goes....

Walking around beforehand... to the right of Monsters (when looking at the ride) was Flynn's, drinks ("End of Line Club"), and a food truck.

It was crowded!

This is just like it was on New Years Eve! we had a lot of fun that night, I can't wait to attend this, I bet it will be just as much fun!

I keep wondering if I take the munchkins without backup tonight, am I going to be needing to have a cute little drink? :rolleyes1 These pics make it look so crowded. What time does it get bad? I do have to be up early and in Long Beach tomorrow morning so was thinking it would be an early and quick trip.

last night was not bad, the opening night was busy. but it hasn't been too bad, i think you will be fine. just know that the dancing area can be a bit busy but its soo spaced out really good! yes get a glowjito, had one last night, omg they are so good!

Thanks, and ok I'll have one just because you said I should :thumbsup2 We were supposed to go last night but had other things to take care of. I'd like to be out of there by 8 and hoping that gives them enough time to play some games and feel they've experienced it.

From Disneyland FB page.

"Attention programs! We’re planning an ElecTRONica Meet-Up at Disney California Adventure park. Be sure to watch the Disney Parks Blog tomorrow to get all the details!"

I've got to admit... I wasn't too thrilled about this. However, my husband wanted to check it out since it was Tron related. He thought it was fairly cool, but it was a MAJOR winner with our three year old daughter! She loved dancing around in the lights. So I enjoyed it because she's a fun-to-watch dancer. We ended up going two nights because she liked it so much!
