:rotfl: Four questions from a British new person, if I may.

1. What electricity supply voltage is in Disneyland Paris hotels. (I think we're due to stay at the Cheynee?), and what are the sockets like?

2. Do they supply kettles and milk?

3. When you pay in the park for a coffee is there any problem with using British VISA / Mastercard debit or credit cards?

4. I assume, along with French and other languages, that everything is fully signposted in English and that all the staff speak English. Is this true?

Answers appreciated or suggestions of alternative places to post.

Thanks

PS, I love all these smilies.

Welcome to the DIS DLP board Magister  You're in the right place for answers to your questions :)

1. The electricity at DLP is 230V and the sockets require a 2 round pin plug.

2. At the Cheyenne, a kettle may already be in your room - if not you can request one at the Information desk for a 30 euro refundable deposit. A tea/coffee basket with the tiny milk cartons and 4 paper cups is also available here for about 5 euros. Or you can buy proper milk in the hotel shop, at the train station, or at the garage by the Santa Fe

3. There should be no problem using a British card at DLP, though it might just be easier to use cash if buying only a coffee!

4. Not sure about fully signposted and all staff, but you will have no problem finding your way around, and finding a Cast Member to help you, even if you have absolutely no knowledge of French.

Hope that helps

Hi Magister and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

A simple merci and sil vous plait will go a long way in DLP, but don't worry CM's understand that many in the UK are not fluent in French. We have never had a problem :)

thats useful info bout cheyenne cos i was going to bring a kettle, so that'll be extra space for souvenirs! yay!:woohoo:

Thanks for the answers Bexx and the welcome from Cyrano.

It's funny how the little things worry you. Combining 3 & 4 am I going to be OK going into a cafe in the main park and ordering a few drinks and a couple of cakes. Will I understand when to hand over a card and will I put in a PIN or sign it? Do all cafes takes VISA and Mastercard, Debit and Credit cards.

Thanks again,

Magister.

Hi there Magister,

They will understand it and even will tell you the price in english :)
I would advice you to take some cash with you (for snacks etc..)
You can get it from Disney Village ATM or money counter next to annette's diner.

The accept all major Credit Cards in the restaurants.
(you sign the cc payments)

Have a great time at Disney Land Resort Paris.

When we paid by credit card last week we were brought a machine and had to input our PIN. The instructions on the machine were in English. The same thing happened in the shops in Disneyland.

Thanks for the info.

Next question, if I may, what's the park and hotels, particularly the Cheyenee like for Vegetarian food?
