Electricity and Gas with National Grid-Finding it cheeper

I live in Upstate NY and would love to lower my utilitiy costs. Right now I have national grid with some mlm company as my other company(sorry I can not think of the name or even explain it right).

Any way does anyone have any guidance on where to start in getting these essentials down

Does your state offer third party energy suppliers? Not all do. We have the option in PA but did not in VA.

Yes I believe so- National Grid I pay my bill to, but I also have Ambit- which I am thinking about changing. I think you can get elec/Gas w SWA (or get SWA credits). It is all a mystry to me
