During our first trip to WDW in 1992, we watched the electrical water parade from Fort Wilderness after dinner. Does anyone know what time the water parade could be viewed from FW on February 23 or 24? What would be the easiest way for us to get to FW from the AKL--we will have a car if that is the easiest?

According to AllEars, this is the general schedule (but is subject to change)

Polynesian Resort -- 9 p.m.
Grand Floridian -- 9:15 p.m.
Wilderness Lodge -- 9:35 p.m.
Fort Wilderness -- 9:45 p.m.
Contemporary Resort -- 10:05 p.m.
Magic Kingdom -- 10:20 p.m. (only during extended MK park
hours)

FW is sort of a hard place to get to, although with a car, it gets easier. I suppose I would simply drive over, in your case. I think that the EWP is best seen from the POLY beach, but that's just me :) I like to check it out after dinner and Wishes.

Are we allowed to view from that beach if we are not staying at the Poly? What if we were to do dinner at the Poly, could we then just walk out to the beach with no questions asked? Can you see the electrical parade and Wishes from anywhere on the Poly beach?

Yes, get off the bus and walk out to the beach around the different buildings and grab a hammock, if they are not all taken and enjoy. It is somewhat romantic as well.
