I would like to find out more on this water parade. I understand that is is on the seven seas lagoon and that it can be seen on the beaches of certain resorts. If this is all true, here are a few questions.
1. Is it possible for anyone not staying at those particular resorts to go onto the beach to watch?
2. Where is the best location to watch from?
3. What time does it start ( we are in Disney 3-18-08) ?
TIA!:goodvibes

You can get a fantastic view of it from the beach of the Poly. And no you don't have to be staying there to watch it. I want to say it was around 8 pm, but I may be off on the time. Never really noticed the time as we were normally in the pool area anyhow when it was coming through.

We watched Wishes & the Electric Water Parade from the Polynesian beach during our first night and it was my favorite part of our whole trip!:goodvibes
The parade started at the Poly at 9pm and lasted I think around 10 minutes.
We were not residents of the Poly, by the way, but WDW encourages people to visit the resorts.

You can also view the parade from the Contemporary, GF, MK. The think the schedule is the same year round, but I can't recall where it is posted.

I think Robo might have posted it before-?

I LOVE this parade!! It brings back so many happy childhood memories and I love that it hasn't really changed over the years-still got that funky 70's flare!:thumbsup2

The ELP can be viewed from the Grand Floridian, The Polynesian, The Contemporary, The Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. It does start around 9 pm beginning at the Grand Floridian and proceeding slowly to the rest of the resorts on the Seven Seas Lagoon. We enjoy sitting on the dock at the Polynesian for our best view of the ELP. But the beach at the Polynesian with small children is the probably the best while the children can enjoy watching the ducks while waiting for the ELP.

Hope this helps!

We love watching from the beach at Ft. Wilderness. I think the woods make it a little darker so the parade really pops.

here is a link

Poly - 9:00 pm
GF - 9:15 pm
WL - 9:35Pm
fw - 9:45 pm
CR - 10:05pm
MK (dock) - 10:20 pm (during EMH hours or extended)

best place is along the beach at the Polyn.

remember if the fireworks go off - this won't start until after the fireworks -
sometime then sometimes 5 to 10 minutes later.

it can 5 minute early or 10 minute late. - so be sure to give it time.

also if it is windy - forget it. it can go out in the rain. but wind no!

We love it! Best way to watch it, IMO, is to choose a resort that you would like to visit and enjoy dinner at and would fit into your schedule, make time after dinner to stroll down to the beach at the right time and catch to show. Eg., we like dinner at 'Ohana around 6 PM, which allows time for shopping and walking out to the beach to catch the show.

You are absolutely welcome to view it from any resort you choose!

Thanks for your help. I think this is what we are going to do on the first night we arrive. I think it will be relaxing as well as a great start on the disney magic.;)

I was disappointed when we saw it 2 years ago, not in EWP itself, but in the spectators who rented boats and parked them between all the viewers on the beach and the floats. Has Disney discouraged this practice yet?
