Electrical Water Pageant

Once again, zero info at disney website about the illuminated water parade. Saw some posts in September that they still had this... any details on time? Didn't know if this fluctuated like the fireworks ... We're staying at SoG, can we go to the beach at the Poly to watch this?

I believe you can see it from the beach at the poly. We saw it from the Contemporary marina. When we were there 3 weeks ago...it was at the Contemporary at 10:05 pm.

It's a nice little show...hasn't changed in a LONG time.

We watched it less than a week ago from Wilderness Lodge (at 9:35 p.m.)

This is one of those wonderful things that Disney doesn't make a big deal over, but rather presents so that guests are surprised by this special extra.

We stayed offsite and were able to get a 3 hour parking pass to the Polynesian to watch the Water Parade from the beach there!
My suggestion...get a couple of tropical drinks from the bar inside, bring along the kids pail and shovel they get from a kid lunch and grab a lounge chair along the water and enjoy! Total vacation feeling!

We are planning on eating dinner at our resort first on Dec 31 and then heading over to the poly to see the EWP. I was at disney 3 times as a kid and this was by far my fondest memory. I can't wait to share this with my children. I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it.

Questions:
Will there be enough lounge chairs available or should I bring a blanket with us?
On New Years Eve will the EWP pass the Poly at 9 pm or at a different time? I wouldn't want to miss it.
If it is cold, is there anywhere in the POLY where we could sit and relax and then go outside shortly before the EWP? Does the poly lobby have a tv with disney kids movies like the other disney hotels?

Sorry so many questions.
