Electrical water pageant times while HEA is going on

We are headed down in Jan and May 2018 and really want to watch the EWP. I looked up the times for the EWP at the resorts and outside of the MK. I was wondering what happens when HEA is at 9pm and the EWP starts at Polynesian at 9PM? Do they both happen at the same time? Does the EWP start after HEA starts at the resorts?

I see that page claims the EWP show Duration runs 15 minutes.
It actually only runs for about 6 minutes.

Its a short show.

And, exactly WHEN it starts can be a "moving target."

Unfortunately Disney’s website is only partially accurate on the times. The pattern has been that when HEA is at 9PM, the EWP will be at 8:50PM at Poly. The Poly Recreation Calender has been accurate as of late when it comes to EWP, see this link for the current month: http://www.themouseforless.com/tripplanning/resorts/wdw/pdf/PolyCalendar.pdf

As you can see, it notes EWP at 8:50PM for November.

Similarly, at somewhere like the GF, Disney’s website shows 9:15PM but it really starts more like 9:19PM, right after HEA is over. (Note, HEA is not always at 9PM).
