The popularity of the Main Street Electrical Parade stems a lot from it's music, the Baroque Hoedown, which is an amazing song. When the lights go dark and that music starts on Main Street, it is pure magic. Toes tap, hands clap and the audience is swept away. To me, the SpectroMagic theme and parade music is more classical and less whimsical, featuring music from The Little Mermaid and Fantasia. It is a stunning presentation, with it's fiber optics, lightning balls, SpectroKids and animated tinkerbell on a video screen, but it doesn't have that magic that the MSEP has. The MSEP is whimsical, where SpectroMagic is more elegant I guess is the best way to describe it. I like them both, but MSEP is definitely my fave.
