I am disappointed that the Electrical Parade was moved to California Adventures Theme Park. Spectromagic isn't popular as the Electrical Parade is. In fact, I can't remember the Spectromagic Theme Song. Disney should allow guests to vote on which parade they prefer. I am holding-off revisiting, until the Electrical Parade resumes.

The Main Street Electrical Parade is our favorite. In fact we once made a trip to WDW just to see it again before it left and made a trip out to California Adventure when it debuted there.

Spectromagic is good, but not as good as the Electrical Parade!

Electrical Parade!!!!! I didn't like Spectromagic much at all when I saw it 2 years ago. But I loved the Main Street Electrical Parade the one and only time we were lucky enough to see it. We can only hope that some day they will bring it back to the east coast.

That one's a no-brainer for me. I was (and still am) VERY disappointed that they ruined the night-time parade by taking the Main Street Electrical Parade away and replacing it with (the not-even-half-as-good) Spectromagic.

We saw Spectro last year, and thought it was beautiful...but we've never seen the MSEP. Can someone please describe how it was different from Spectro? It sounds like everyone preferrs it.

The popularity of the Main Street Electrical Parade stems a lot from it's music, the Baroque Hoedown, which is an amazing song. When the lights go dark and that music starts on Main Street, it is pure magic. Toes tap, hands clap and the audience is swept away. To me, the SpectroMagic theme and parade music is more classical and less whimsical, featuring music from The Little Mermaid and Fantasia. It is a stunning presentation, with it's fiber optics, lightning balls, SpectroKids and animated tinkerbell on a video screen, but it doesn't have that magic that the MSEP has. The MSEP is whimsical, where SpectroMagic is more elegant I guess is the best way to describe it. I like them both, but MSEP is definitely my fave.
