Okay, I've done this many times! Probably not ALL three in one night though very often. Friday night I did the RDCT and 10:30 Fantasmic just me and my 2kids.
Danger Mouse's directions from ELP to RDCT are great. Word of warning: you need to get very near the Frontierland (not Adventureland) entrance for watching the fireworks. The CMs are adamant about you walking in the correct direction after fireworks and will hunt you down! Valuable time will be lost if you have to walk towards Main Street, then across toward Tomorrowland, then back around to the Frontierland entrance. There is roped off standing room only areas toward the hub between Frontierland and Adventureland entrances. Use that one, if you can. After the fireworks, it seems like everyone else has the same plan as you. Do not despair. We went into Frontierland, and were stopped at the Mark Twain- roped off to allow previous guests to exit the area. When they dropped that everyone was off! That was about 9:50-9:55.
NOTE NOTE NOTE:
The first roped off seating areas, in front of River Belle Terrace and POTC were already crowded. Have no fear. Keep moving, across the center of ROA and the center lights control area. Just on the other side of it: EMPTY SPACE! Friday night was still pretty crowded, and we were able to have awesome seats, just one family in front of us right against the water. Pretty much center! I even asked the Fantasmic CM, "are you
sure this isn't reserved seating?" Nope! So at 9:55, we were able to sit down. After standing for RDTC this was so nice. By about 10:05 it was pretty much full. Then we only had a half hour to wait for it to start! That's why I highly recommend the second showing of Fantasmic, if you can wait for it. So much less wasted time saving a spot. And no obstructed view for the kids! Wahoo! Sitting then gave my kids a "second wind" for the rest of the night. Even the little 2 year old, who fell asleep on her mama's lap while waiting, woke up for F! and was enchanted. It's loud! The 10:30 crowd always seems more mellow and less, um, rude about saving spots or sitting in front of a small child. (Pet peeve of mine!)
Another tip:
If you are foregoing the fireworks, and just doing ELP and F!, you might want to take the train from Main St. station to New Orleans Square. Don't try to go up Main Street after the hordes leave from the fireworks!! Ack!
It can be done and it will be a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cap off the night with a FP for Indy or Space, and a nice cup of coffee at Blue Ribbon Bakery on your way out...
aaahhhhhhhh
