Electrical Parade Dining

I know that you can dine somewhere while watching the Electrical Parade pass by, but I cannot remember where it is. Would you recommend eating at the restaurant, or would it be better to just get a seat somewhere else along the parade route?
We will be arriving on a Saturday afternoon, so I would like to see about possible getting a reservation for this restaurant. Do you think it would be OK to just have a reservation for desert?

I don't know about the Electrical Parade, but I know I was able to watch the High School Musical show go by from Wine Country Trattoria.

To be honest, I think it would be better to get a seat along the parade route. I have been able to find front row seats up to 20 minutes before the parade starts (try the steps leading up to wine county trattoria on the side nearest paradise pier, this is used as a walkway but to the immediate left and right there is an area that is frequently left empty and you can use, or anywhere closer to paradise pier and that area is less busy than sunshine plaza). The reason I recommend sitting on the parade route is that this can be a very interactive parade if you enjoy that, by waving and getting the attention of the little electric "animals" they often come right up to you and personally I enjoy the experience more. Have fun whichever you decide!
