Hello, we are considering staying in our camper for a few months in Florida next year, about how much is your electrical bill per month in like June, July and August?

TIA :flower3:

:rotfl2: i hate my electric bill in the summer. our bill has been over 250 each month and the last bill that i just got is over 300. it is a rip off cause they know you need it and they get you every time.

WHAT?! That is more than we pay for a 4 bedroom, 2 bath house in the winter in Maine!! And I should add with 2 teenagers!! :scared1:

Please tell me there are others out there that it is MUCH less.

We were told more like 60.00 a month....:teacher:

I doubt you will find many people that will be able to answer your question since most don't stay in their camper in Florida for months during the summer. There are several campgrounds in FL that offer monthly rates and some include electric while others charge separately. However, I can't imagine that the electric cost would be over the $60 range but it depends if you are in full sun or shade.

I'm sure the previous rate is for a house which would understandably be higher than your camper.

sorry i freaked you out  I should have added that part when i posted. yes it is a house we have a 4 br 2 bath. but i am sure that in a camper it would seriously be under 100. my mother in laws house is under 100 every month and she has a 2 br 1 bath house.

I can't help with the cost but be sure to cover the windows with insulation and cover any skylights and put the pillows in the vents. These things help so much. Also use fans to help circulate the cool air as most ac units on RV's don't keep up with the heat in the south all that well.

Maybe a call to a campground that does charge can give you an estimate.
