Electric Water Pageant at MK

If the MK closes at 9pm but the water pageant doesn’t come by until 10:35 will the buses wait for you? Do you watch it from the boat dock?

There will still be buses running from MK by then.

BUT, they may not perform the Electrical Water Pageant for MK when the park closes
that much earlier in the evening.
There's a better chance of seeing (and hearing) the EWP from an MK area resort's beach.

Electrical Water Pageant

The words conjure some phantasmagorical display of
dazzling lightning-like high voltage interplay with glittering aquatic delights, no?

Well...
My favorite saying about these kind of "simple" things comes from Hawkeye Pierce on the old M*A*S*H TV show.

"It's not much, but it's really nothing."

Although I never miss a chance to see it... inappropriate "over-anticipation"
can be built up over the "Electrical Water Pageant".

People seem to be expecting to see "Main Street Electrical Parade on the water",
when it is really closer to seeing oversized "Lite Brite" pegs mounted on some barges,

with a "Casio Keyboard" music track.

Don't get me wrong, I still love it, and it's a piece of WDW History, but first-timers, please don't get your hopes set too HIGH.

I think Robo's description is spot on! While I do enjoy it, I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to see it. We stayed in the garden wing at the Contemporary last trip and so we were able to easily walk outside our room and watch it from the beach there. I wouldn't have made a special trip from the MK over to a resort to watch it though

I would take the opportunity to head to one of the monorail resorts, grab a drink from a bar there (if you’re into that sort of thing) and watch from the beach. But as pp said, it’s not super impressive. You will not be shunned and mocked by your Disney-loving neighbors for having missed it.
