Electric Parade? When?

I'm pretty sure it only runs during Spring Break, from June-Labor Day, and 2 weeks in late December. That's it.

I believe it's been replaced by the Pixar Play parade for the time being.

But I love the Electrical parade and hope it will be back sometime in the future!

I haven't seen it since I was a kid and was hoping to have my 3 see it next month. It brings the most vivid memories of DLR.

Last year it was running by Memorial weekend and the Pixar Parade was during the afternoons.

The DEP is usually shown during Spring Break; from mid-June to Labor Day; 2 weeks in late December; and based on previous calendars, it’s also shown Fri/Sat/Sun from March to early June.

But this year the DEP will likely not return until Friday, June 12, 2009.

i am saddened once again :(

first the POD, then the Princess Fantasy Faire, now the DEP....argh! i was hoping to see the DEP sunday night 5/3 (i know it was showing on fri-sun in may 2008...so i was going off of that). oh well.

i know everything is subject to change...in fact, the website above says that the pixar's parade will be dark on mondays and tuesday after 1/5, but it's still showing on those days (maybe because of spring break???).

:sad1: I know I am sad too! For all those reasons, but Fantasmic might not be playing either.

Just an fyi, you can find videos of the DEP on Youtube.com :)

I find these types of cutbacks to be curious. If I hadn't already purchased airfare and booked a hotel room I would probably change my dates. Why would Disney want to discourage their early summer visitors?

After listening to the Podcast about the concierge lounge at one of the hotels being closed because of low park attendance I think it is fair to say that you can no longer count on anything at Disney.

With them not posting the calendar until less than a month out, they are going to cause those who travel to rethink whether a DLR trip is worth it.

When I started thinking this year I was debating whether to do DLR or wait until next year and save for a trip to WDW. I'm sure I'm not the only one!

i think i need to take a break from working on my may itinerary until next month....just too many unknowns at this time.

Yeah I think your totally correct on it. We maybe freaking ourselves out over nothing... :flower3: Here is to faith, trust and pixie dust!
