Electric Light Parade position

Well since the ELP is leaving I would like to get a good position to film it before its gone. Is there a good place to watch it without claiming a spot a couple of hours ahead on Mainstreet? Or is that going to be my best option? IIRC, you can get a table on the second floor of one of the cafes in New Orleans Square to watch fantasmic. Is there something equivalent to this for the ELP?

You do know that it isn't on Main Street USA in DL, right? It is showing in DCA. I like to watch it from in front of the Winery or across the path in front of Bug's Land entrance. Since there is so much construction/walls down by the Pier, I think for filming, it may be better closer to Sunshine Plaza.

I did not. When did it change?

I'll have to check the Winery while we are there.

Do you know what route it will take? Might just stay in the hotel room at the GC if it passes by there.

The Disneyland Electrical Parade (DEP) has been playing in DCA since 2001. That's when the changed the name from MSEP to DEP.

Unfortunately, the Winery is one of the areas of DCA which is currently under construction. Both restaurants are currently closed. I believe Wine Country Trattoria will reopen early this summer.

I don't believe there are any good room positions at the GCH that would provide a good viewing placement for the parade. I think you have a better chance of a good viewing spot from you room if you stay at the PCH.

In the past, the parade has started at the Pier area and ended at Sunshine Plaza, but with the current construction mess down at the Pier, they may choose to change the parade route. Guess we won't know anything for sure until March 19.

Which is ironically the same date we will be arriving.

Considering all the construction, looks like we'll have to wait and see until we get there.
