Has anyone seen the Electric Boat parade? (I don't think that's the correct name.) We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge, and I've heard you can see it from the pool there. Is it worth letting the kids stay up late?

Yes! It's so cute. They've had it since I was a kid (I'm 25 now) and it hasn't changed very much. I remember it more than a lot of MK attractions from childhood!

Definitely worth letting the kids stay up - it's around 9pm from WL - we aren't staying at a MK resort this time, but we will be making a special trip just ti see it - have made an ADR at 1900 Park Fayre so we can watch from GF for a change. It's pure Disney magic!!

We have 7:30 ADR for Narcoosee's will we be able to see it from there?
Thanks

If I remember correctly, we saw it once from the deck of Narcoosee's but it was an obstructed view. My favorite place to watch it is on the beach at the Poly. :lovestruc

The Electrical Water Pageant passes the Grand Floridian at 9:15. If you are still dining at that time, you could go out onto the porch to watch.

Here's the schedule according to allears:

Polynesian Resort -- 9 p.m.
Grand Floridian -- 9:15 p.m.
Wilderness Lodge -- 9:35 p.m.
Fort Wilderness -- 9:45 p.m.
Contemporary Resort -- 10:05 p.m.
Magic Kingdom -- 10:20 p.m. (only during extended MK park
hours)

It lasts about 7 minutes and is very low-tech but one of my favorite things at WDW. Enjoy!

At Wildernss Lodge the Electrical Water Pageant is nightly at 9:35p.m. on Bay Lake. This is a whimsical light and music show that will entertain you and your family for about 10 minutes. It's worth seeing at least once! The best viewing is from the beach area near the marina.

Love watching the parade from the Poly beach.

Cheesy fun!

We just returned from the Contemporary (upgraded to tower, water side)... We watched it every night! It is cute, fun - and it seriously reminds me of something from that resort in the movie Dirty Dancing. Something you could return to Disney - and see every year.

It was great!

After all these years still one of my favorite things in WDW!!!!!!

Me too!:lovestruc We just watched it from the Poly beach a few weeks ago after a 12-20 year haitus (diff. for me & DBF) from WDW and it brought back so many childhood memories!

Some people don't think it's such a big deal because it's rather simple compared to the fireworks and light shows, but I think it's a must see for all family memories:goodvibes

When we have stayed at the CR, my kids would stand on the balcony in their pj's and watch it. Then off to bed. It was great end to a great day, every day at wdw! We loved it!

A few weeks ago we were returning from the Wilderness Lodge, after dinner at WCC. As it happens, we were the only people left on the boat after they dropped people at Fort Wilderness. As we approached the Contemporary the Electrical Water Parade was right in front of us, in all its glory! The wonderful boat captain, who retired to Orlando specifically for the job, stopped for us and let us take in the entire show while on the water. At one point he even moved in closer, for a better view. All in all, it's the coolest way to take in the show. :woohoo:
