Elec. Parade and Fireworks

I was just wondering if it would be possible with a parkhopper ticket to see the Elec. Parade at DCA and then run over to DL to see the fireworks on the same night??? I'll be there Friday night, June 8th.

Just so you know, DLR has purposely selected the timing and direction of the DCA DEP and DL Fireworks to make it extremely difficult to do what you want to do. They do not want tons of people streaming out of DCA after DEP and into DL to see the fireworks onto a very crowded Main Street. The crowd control problems before and during the fireworks are highly challenging for the CMs and overall they do a great job. But dumping perhaps thousands of people onto Main Street during the crowd control problems makes things very hard. So DLR tried to make it impossible or at least very difficult.

Some people around here have done it, although it was more likely during a night that was not busy. For busier evenings (like June 18) you may be able to get into DL to see the fireworks but you will likely not find a decent spot for viewing.

FWIW, unless you have seen both already and know what you are doing, IMO the fireworks are far, far better than DEP and it is not worth risking being late to or missing the fireworks in order to see DEP.

HydroGuy, I think I'll stick to your advice for this trip. After all, it is vacation and I don't want to stress out! Gotta finish packing! I leave in the morning!
