El Rio Del Tiempo Refurb?

Okay, it probably does need a little clean-up but PLEASE DON'T CHANGE THE MUSIC!!!! You all know the song I speak of. The one that gets stuck in your head. For the rest of your day. Even when you're not at DisneyWorld. Yep, it's stuck in my head right now and it isn't leaving anytime soon.

LA LA LA LA! LA LA LA LA LA LA! LA LA LA LA LA LA!

Gotta Get To Disney! :moped:
This one??? :cool1:

I like this one too.. Its a nice quiet relaxing boat ride, what more could you ask for?

I've honestly (no offense) viewed it as a rather lame attraction. I will ride it to kill time while my wife wanders around the shops. Any update would be welcome.

This is arguably the most underrated ride in all of WDW. I love it for being a classic, old fashioned ride. It's like watching some old movies. Sure you can update it, but it doesn't have the same classic feel then.
:sunny:

Even though I can see that this ride is dated and needs some drastic updating (those videos! Make me cringe every time), I really hope that not too much changes. Keep the music and the 'fireworks' and I'll be happy :)

I've said it before, El Rio del Tiempo is one of my favorite rides. The videos could use a little updating, but in general I love it.

I hope they don't change a lot.

LOL!!!
Thanks alot!!!! Now it's back in MY head! :goodvibes
I read this post to my DW and SHE starts humming it!
We, too, love this ride ... I hope they don't turn it into a thrill ride! I can see it now ... "El Rio del Tiempo de Muerte!"
Long live the "charming" rides! (Not that there's anything wrong with thrill rides! :) )

We also love this ride. DH is half Mexican and half Puerto Rican, so we go there to celebrate his heritage. We now take our DS on it and after February 07, we will take DS #2 on it as well.

I think that as of late, the word on the street is that they will add the 3 Caballeros to the ride.. i mean let's face it.. Epcot has had this ride for how long? It's definitey time for an update.. in my opinion, it was never a great ride to begn with (one small world ride is enough so why need two?).. i sure hope that they make it better..

We've always enjoyed this ride; the music is catchy and fun. We like to ride it after we've had a meal at the San Angel Inn - it completes the experience!

I will be in Disney in Feb. and am really bummed that this ride will be closed. Epcot is just not the same without it! Thank you so much Dan Murphy! I just listened to the music and can totally visualize the whole ride. I'm also having a craving for black beans now haha.

I like the ride as a classic, though I definitely understand how it could seem boring to some.

They should definitely update the films on the ride and maybe change a few things.

I agree about the song though, now that it's stuck in my head too, it never gets old to me and I hope they keep it!

I thought I was the only person in the world who liked this ride. It has been a must do for me ever since I started going to Epcot. I love the opening scene with the volcano, and the old films with the merchants and hot tub people. There's just something about the ride that really relaxes me. It's like Disney Valium :teeth:

While I love Donald and his compadres I think they will ruin this ride. This ride, to my family, is about the culture and history of Mexico. I feel like the cartoon characters should be left out of it.

Well Dave, as you can see by my above post, the song has been passed back to me!

But now that you've read this it's probably back to you! Enjoy! :teeth:

I'm thinking Disney should incorporate the Three Amigos in the new film. Chevy Chase's career could use the boost.

Bill your reading my mind! You could have the INfamouns El Guapo in the ride...ha.

Seriously, I like this ride, but the films of the "vendors" hawking goods can go - I would think the ride could use a bit better representation of mexican culture than that. I'd rather not have Donal Duck in there, but would probably take that over the hawkers.
