El Pirata y el Perico

I know this is only open seasonally- but when? Just summer? We are going around Thanksgiving. Will it be open then?

Ahh the seasonal openings at Disney.

Seasonal is their word for "we open it whenever we feel like it".

But, what I hear about El Pirata y el Perico is that it's usually opened during times of peak attendance. So I would think your chances of it happening around Turkey Day should be somewhat increased.

I hope you get a chance to try it! I have been hoping it would be open for YEARS on my past trips and just ate there for the first time this past March. It was very good- we actually ate there 2 different times, A great change of pace from mainly burgers and chicken

It was closed for our trips in Nov. '05, Jan. '08 and Jan./Feb. '09.

It was closed for our November trip (earlier in the month) and all of our December trips. You may be lucky as a PP said because it is Thanksgiving week and they need the extra CS.

Three weeks ago it was open, but only for lunch on the 3 days we were at MK.

It was open when we went in Feb/March of 2008. So was the Noodle Station. I thought this was strange because we were there during an off season. There were hardly any people in the park.

We were there the start of this month, and we really wanted to go to it. Lo and behold it was listed on the guide times that we picked up at MK. Excitedly we studied the small print to make out when it was open.......... and it was open from 4:30-7:00pm on a Friday only

Quite why Disney chose to open it for 2 1/2 hours out of the entire week is beyond me, especially when it seems so popular, but I guess you've just got to be lucky to get there!

Incidentally we never made it there as we had other plans

There have been rumors for a while they may change it to a CD with pirates (awesome!). But for now I think it is only open when they feel like it, or expect the park to be busy. I would bet that it will be open Thanksgiving week!

I have been to DW many times and have yet to find this restaurant open. We were there Sept. 27-Oct. 7 this year. other times we have been there Dec. 09, Sept. 08, May '07, Sept.'07, and Thanksgving week '07.
