El Pirata Y el Perico Restaurante

I know it is only open seasonally... but I have never seen it open!

DD would love to get tacos for dinner or lunch if it is open. We are there the second week of March so I would assume it would be open, correct?

They have good tacos! It should be open in March and april for Spring Break crowds. usually open just for lunch 11-3.

We were there for Spring Break last year and it was not opened, but who knows, when you go it may be . Our household loves tacos too, and if the El Pirata Y El Perico Restaurant is not opened when you are there, then go over to Pecos Bills (right next door) and get a taco salad....that is both of my DDs and my favorite item on that menu, plus they have a fixings bar where you can add whatever you choose on your salad

As the PP said, if they are closed get a Taco salad from Pecos Bills. They are the same kitchen. The Taco salad is our FAVORITE CS, the fixin's bar is plentiful and it makes a great meal!

In the last 7 years I have been to wdw 22 times, in every month of the year and I think I only saw it opened once, and that was with the Pecos Bills menu when it was closed for rehab! I think the last time I actually ate there was in 1984! I would love to give it another try if it ever opens!

The only time that I have seen it open was last August during free dining. I made my family eat there just because I had never seen it open before.

I hope on eating there this time we were there last year during break and I didn't remember seeing it opened but we usually go over to Mexico and get our fix at the cs there. The last time I really remember it being open and that I ate there was 2003 during Christmas we were there the day before New years and the week after. We ate on the curb while watching the parade!
I do plan on going to pecos bills and getting taco salad if not open since CS in mexico will be closed for rehab

I didn't know that!! I have learned something new today! Now I don't feel so bad that we ALWAYS miss it. Even at Easter, we always seemd to have a fastpass or something to get and ended up missing it and I SOOOOO badly want to go for Tacos too. I think the posters on this thread have good taste: Tacos ... YUM!!

I have been there in July in August the last few years and it has been open for lunch. I make a point of having lunch there on our MK day. I have been told that the P y P employees close up after lunch, change uniforms and work Noodle Terrace for dinner.
