and I think you need to use distortion...not completely sure because I have never done it

Actually Angus and Malcom almost never use power chords. Pretty much all the chords they use are open. I know you need distortion I have that it's just getting the method just right is what's hard

wolfe: pinch harmonics can add so much style to a song if used right haha... i find the easiest way to do them is to hold your pick very very close to your finger.. think of the pick as a finger nail, but on the bottom of your thumb instead on top haha... also, you need to have your amp turned WAAAAAAAY up to hear them clearly



hawaii: awesome dude! tos is amazing.. their solos are simple, but they sound sooo good... i learned how to play their carol of the bells this morning haha... i can roughly play it.. i should be able to perfect it by xmas so thatll be perfect

I'm trying to learning this for a cover in my band (the song starts at 0:50, the keyboard parts before are so elegant though ). I can play 0:50 to about 1:21 so far.

Yeah Hizaki is an amazing Guitarist (compared to another artist who gets more credit then he deserves*)...he's a he (in Japan theres a music style called Visual Kei where the bands dress...visually haha...and alot of men dress as women but not as drag queens (Other examples include: Mana, Emiru, Kengo, Jasmine You etc.).

*=I say that because he did a guitar "solo" which was like 2 notes and making alot of noise with them and it was called a solo...Hizaki is clearly so much better then that haha.

Yea, every time I go to Japan, I see it in a lot of magazines and stuff.
The only Japanese musician I listen to often is Gackt though.
