finally, a drum thread lol. It's all about practice. I started in 2003. 2 weeks later me and 2 friends were playing "louie louie" and "You really got me" horribly in my basement. Now we've done real shows, and a couple battle of the bands type shows.

have you tried tightening your drum heads?

or if its like all echo-y try getting some of these moongel things. They stop the echo a bit.

Playing drums while someone else is playing guitar or bass is good for your timing. Play something simple, then start improvising with different beats.
