Before our start out here is a little background of each person who went:

Family numbero uno:
Father- He may complain of our daily walking agenda, but he loves Disney World just like the rest of us. The beginning of the year he always looks to my mom and says "Do you want to go back to Disney in December?" And we always say yes. :goodvibes

Mother- Loved Disney World since I could remember... Loves getting crazy with the characters, and loves acting like a kid again in the best place that you can imagine!

Grandmother- She also loved Disney since I could remember.....Everytime a Disney character comes to her they just stand by her most of the time interacting with her! The characters love my grandmother

Me- Being 17 I've grown up basically at Disney World. I went there for my first time at the age of 2 (i think) and loved it. I remember what I was wearing when I first met Mickey Mouse, I remember me running up to him and giving him a huge hug, and i remember where the special moment was! I will always have a love for Disney till I'm old and tell my future grandchildren about my first visit with Mickey Mouse. :wizard: It was Magical

Family number two:
Mom- Worked at Disney when she was in College and never complained about it. She always loved Disney since! Each year she wants to go. It will be only a matter of time when she comes back to work again. ;)

Dad- Likes Disney, but not all the walking around you have to do. He is such a fun person to ride rides with because he will not scream. He will laugh at everyone else laughing from screaming or screaming for the ride, etc.

THe kids- Little ones with same reaction I had when I was their age. They always want their picture with a character and I just smile when their faces light up from joy.

Cousin- her first time going and she loved it!!! She loved watching all the Disney movies and it was her wish to have a family vacation at DIsney World. Well, she got that. Her father let her come down with us in December for a fun 10 day trip! Now she wants to go again and again and again till she can't go no more! :dance3: :yay:

Hope you enjoyed that! Now, here is our daily guide to our December, 2007 trip:

Pre-trip: We went to pick up my cousin from a rest stop halfway from our house to her's. That was a Tuesday December, 4th. We had no other time to pick her up for our favorite trip of the year. Wednesday was our last day being home before driving down to Disney World! My dad arrived home during his usual time and slept. We figured we would leave around 1am, but that was not the case. He woke up around 10:30pm and we were out of the door and driving out of the driveway by 10:45. The drive from freezy, cold, Maryland, to warm, and sunny Orlando would be a total of 14 hours long, maybe even longer! We drove straight through and reached the Florida welcome center to take a good hour rest for my dad to sleep and for us to chit-chat about the trip. There was no possible way that we would sleep because we were both excited. My cousin didn't know what to expect!!!!!!! By the time we reached North Carolina it was Thursday, December 6th! We were so excited!!! :yay: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :woohoo: :cheer2: So excited that we started listening to the Disney Hits cd and singing along!:rolleyes1
We reached the exit and couldn't contain our emotions. we just started screaming! The screaming grew louder and louder till we were on the Disney Property. Our package didn't start till the next day so we were basically stranded in our disney resort the whole day. :rotfl: We had reservations for one night at Disney's Pop Century Resort. My dad was finally able to take a nap for a decent time while we went to the pool for a few hours talking about our first offical day at the Disney Parks!

Day 1: The next morning we woke up, brushed our teeth, changed, and grabbed our over night back and walked to the check out counter. We checked out, then checked back IN again for our package. Then it was off to Animal Kingdom!!!!!!!

We got there early which was my suggestion. My dad didn't want that to be the case but I said, "Dad, if you want to get on a popular ride right away you HAVE to go early." So we did. We were about the 10th or so people in line waiting for the gates to open up. And when they did we made a bee line right over to Expedition Everest. I told my cousin that it's the most popular ride out of all the rides in Walt Disney World! When we got there my dad waited while we ran into the line. To our surprise it was a 20 minute wait. We thought it would have been longer due to everyone that was running in between us! But we got on the ride in about 5 minutes. It was no where near 20 minutes! My cousin loved it so much that she wanted to ride it again and again. We made a deal to ride it at least 10 times in a row or through out our vacation. Sadly, we only reached 7 :headache: :confused3 .

Through out the day we went on the fun rides. Dinosour, Primevil Whirl, It's Tough To Be A Bug, and many more. The rest of our party would be arriving at the Airport from Maryland to meet us at Animal Kingdom. So we met up with my mom, grandmother, and friends and waited for them as they were in line for Goofy. From there we went over to the new Finding Nemo show. It was fantastic! IF you are about to leave for your Disney vacation PLEASE go see it!! You must see it at least two times before you leave. The stage, and the movements of the puppets were so life like!

Day two - Day 5 coming soon, along with some pictures!

I'm here! Post away - you've got readers! It sounds like a great trip!

Patiently waiting for more....popcorn:: popcorn::

Day 2: We spent the day at MGM, AK, and MK! A busy day but completely worth it. The youngest child in our group turned 41 inches just in time for our trip. She could not wait to ride Star Tours with her older brother! We spent the whole day riding rides, getting autographs, and we're all in this together watching the High School Musical: School's Out Pep-Rally! It was a cute show for fans of all ages, including me who is 17. :lmao: Through out the day we went to the Narnia walk through, Backlot Tour, and more so my cousin could get the full experience. I've been going to Disney for years and we bumped into characters that you never see!!! It was fun day at MGM!!!!

As the day came into a close we drove over the AK and had dinner at the Tusker House. My cousin and I wanted to ride Everest one more time, but this time in the front. And so we did. :thumbsup2 :woohoo: :goodvibes THe food at the Tusker House was fantastic! I kept getting up for more! THat was our first time eating there and we will certainly go there again! We had a girl from Asia serving us. She was kind enough teach us how to say thank you. Don't you just love the culture of different countries and their food choices. :)

That morning we were debating on going to the MK to see Spectromagic that night. THe final showing was 10pm and it was 8 right when we finished and started to head out of the park. Me, my mom, grandmother and my cousin got on a bus and headed for the MK! We got there at a good time because most of the guests were leaving. My cousin and I wanted to ride at least one ride before the parade started. So I suggested Mission Space, and that's exactly what we did. The wait was 20 minutes, but we got on in a hurry and decided to go on it again! We had to rush to our family before the parade started. 15 minutes later the lights turned off, and down Main Street USA you could see the start of the parade coming around the bend. My favorite Disney parade of all time. :dance3: We got back at Midnight, got ready for bed, wrote in our journals about the day then finally fell asleep. What a great way to spend the second day of our Magical Gather Vacation!

Day 3: EPCOT! The park of Imagination!! We spent the whole day there doing World Showcase, Future World, and everything else there is to do there!! Right when we got there we decided to run as fast as possible to The Land where the ride Soarin' is. 41 inches may be 41 inches in Future world, but not for Soarin'. The youngest couldn't go on because she didn't reach the top of the measuring post! And she IS 41 inches! We were so mad that her mother at wait for us as we waited in line to ride. We even complained about it because the two measuring post that they had were completely different sizes. That was our first bad experience at Disney World out of the whole trip. After that my mom suggested to put paper in her shoes. :rotfl: And that's what she did. She was able to go on while the cast members didn't even think about it before letting her go! And the cute little angel thought that it was a High School Musical ride and started singing "We're soarin, paper towles in my shoes!" From there we went on Test Track once our other member of our party finally arrived. We waited hours for him to come so that he could ride Test Track with his family. We barely had time to ride because we had reservations in Canada for dinner. He was late due to a bird flying in the engine! My moms friend thought it was payback for calling our friends back in Maryland bragging how warm we were. But, he got there in time to ride it. So from there we headed over to Le Cellier for our dinner reservations and waited for at least 2 hours! THe food was great, service rather slow (we didn't get out until 11:30), but overall we enjoyed our dinner. Then it was back to Pop Century for bed!

Day 4: This was my favorite day of all! Our friends who moved to Florida 2 months prior to our trip came with us to MGM! We went on Tower of Terror and they both were a little nervous about it! For Rockin' Roller Coaster one of them couldn't wait to go on while the other was scared but went on anyway!!! We spent the whole day with them laughing about the rest of our week, to laughing at my mom and family friend getting picked for Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular! MR.Jimmy enjoyed being apart of it! SO much that he slipped walking down! He even acted the part... what a natural! :cheer2:

Sadly, the day went by way too fast... It was 3:00 and we had to leave for our reservations at Chef Mickey's. We said our good-byes, and cried as we left them in a store to shop for their kids. We were sad to leave them while taking the bus to the Transportation and Ticket Center, then the Monorail over to the Contemporary Resort.

That time eating at Chef Mickey's was one of the best for us. THe characters interacted with everyone and we were just laughing about the days ahead! :rotfl2: As soon as we finished it was time for our Magical Gatherings Wishes Cruise!
We waited at least 45 minutes before the doors opened for snacks.... EVeryone was bored! So bored that two people were out like a light! My cousin and I decided to dance to high school musical for a little bit to pass the time. ANd to our surprise someone was watching us.... We didn't know that would be the character Smee, coming up to us and asking us to do the dance to We're All In This Together!!! We had a ball dancing WITH him! That memory will always stay with us!

:woohoo:

... But we got on the ride in about 5 minutes. It was no where near 20 minutes! My cousin loved it so much that she wanted to ride it again and again. We made a deal to ride it at least 10 times in a row or through out our vacation. Sadly, we only reached 7 :headache: :confused3 .

Great report so far! I know how you feel about EE. It's my DD8's, and my, favorite ride. :cloud9: You did better than us, we were only able to ride it 4 times in a row, last trip. We only stopped bacause we ran out of FP. We were using the ones from the rest of our party who stopped after 1. :confused3

We've had a problem, occassionally with DD's height. With shoes, she is just 48". We go to DL quite often, and she couldn't wait to ride the Stinger (swings) ride at DCA and was pretty sure she wanted to ride Screamin'. First time, we had no problem (she was wearing boots) but the next trip, she was about 1/4" too short and they wouldn't let her on the swings (Stinger) She was not a happy camper! :confused3 It's my understanding that the measurements at Disney have been adjusted for shoes, meaning, the have to be at least the min., with shoes, before they can ride. Some rides are pickier than others. At DCA, two of the picky ones are the swings and Jumping Jellyfish. I am surprised that at 41" she was too short for a 40" min. requirement. :confused3 :sad2:

Quick question on your day at MK-you said you rode Mission Space before the parade, did you mean Space Mountain?

Can't wait to read more.. More pix?

I always say Mission Space when I'm talking about MK! My apologies!!! I will be adding more pictures for sure. THanks for the feedback!

I find it bizzare how the height post things are different at other rides. :confused3

I will update my report soon!!

Great report!! I love how you ended up dancing with Mr. Smee, LOL! I can't believe how much you rode EE though. Riding once makes me so sick, I can't imagine over and over :)

LOL! Yeah, it will be a memory that will last a lifetime with Mr.Smee. My cousin and I always did the "Tick Tock" sound when Hook walked by us and he freaked out. Lol. I know they are people in costumes but it's like going back to time where I was little. I loved being around the characters!

THe last day I wasn't feeling good and went on Everest twice! It was a bad idea because I felt really sick afterwards. Lol.

I need to work on a few things then I will update for you all.

Here are some pictures that I forgot to put up:

Day 5: We spent the afternoon at the MK riding rides, getting autographs, and grabbed a little something to eat before taking the monorail over to the Grand Floridian for our Grand Gatherings Photo Session! What an experience! We got pictures infront of their HUGE Gingerbread house, the beach area, and so many other locations! Our day wasn't really exciting until that moment!!!

Day 6: We spent the whole day at the MK, but came back for some relaxation since we would be at the park all night for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party! THe lines had hardly any wait which is always good. Sometimes we had a 10 to 20 minute wait but it flew by because we were excited about the night ahead of us. Sadly, they didn't have pictures for everyone to go to. From what I heard they got rid of it. :confused3 The parade was adorable as usual. They added new floats, and new characters that you rarely see!

Day 6: We spent the morning at the Ohana having breakfast with Lilo, Stich, Mickey, and Pluto! My first time eating there and I loved it!!! The food was great, and the characters were even greater!!!! The best character out of all them would have to be pluto. My cousin slowly put her finger in her mouth and he barked. She jumped and laughed.:rotfl: It was really funny when he put his mouth over her head (like he was eating her) and chased our family friend around the table because she had food in her hand!!! You gotta love Pluto!!!
