Egg Nog

Bourbon usually sometimes a flavored whiskey...I also use plain egg nog in my coffee this time of year

Whisky, rum or bourbon or even virgin eggnog

Not a fan but I would do rum before any other liquor.......of course. :)

I am the only one in my family that likes eggnog. I might drink a single glass each season and have never spiked it with anything.

I won't put anything expensive in egg nog period. My preference is a Rum with a Spiced Rub being second.

I haven't had egg nog since I was a kid (not spiked) and I didn't like it. I sometimes wonder if maybe I just never got to try a good recipe, and now that I'm over 21, I might enjoy the boozy version.

Is the stuff in the carton from grocery stores any good? You can buy pre-mixed with booze added, I wonder if that is any good?

Spiced or dark rum are usually my first choices, but I have tried Bailey's before and liked it. Kahlua also makes a premade mudslide that mixed well with eggnog. I tried a flavored version of Crown Royal one year that was decent. It was maple, which is now retired, but their current salted caramel would probably also be good as their flavors are not subtle.

Bourbon tends to be sweeter than Irish or Scotch Whiskey and that is what I usually use. A good dark rum is good too. Try a spiced rum like Captain Morgan.

Scotch or another whiskey.

The grocery version depends on the brand. I usually try to get Turkey Hill ( maybe local to the Philadelphia area). If it is a Store brand I choose one who's milk I like. I stay away from the pre-mixed. We hosted an extended family Christmas, so I'd rather give people their option.
