Egg Allergy and counter service meals?

We are going to WDW next year and our daughter is allergic to egg. I've read that if you have table service restaurant reservations you can call ahead and speak to the chef about dietary requirements, but we will mostly being doing counter service meals.

Will we be able to check whether counter service meals are egg free? I'm having nightmares about keeping her egg free but we can't afford to do table service meals each day...

Any advice welcome!

Don't worry!

Definately contact special diets at WDW. They can send you a form to fill out online with all of your ADR's and the allergy information. The chefs will know ahead of time and will be prepared.

She can also send you a list of CS places that have allergy free food. There are a few in each park. They have binders and the chef will go through it and help you find something that is safe.

The chefs are great. So is Brenda at Special Diets.

If you require more information head over to the DisAbilities Board as there is a lot more information over there for allergies.

My wife asked about the meat balls at Pinocchio's Village Haus and they brought out the binder that lists all the ingredients, allergic to turkey.

Also while in line I think I saw the same binder with another family and they were asking about eggs. I think the noodles had eggs but check the binder.

So yes you can find out anything about the food at CS places but of course they are limited to what they can offer though.

At a TS they can re configure a meal to leave or substitute certain items out of a dish. At CS they really can't re do a recipe, just maybe leave it off.

Every CS has a binder with a list of ingredients. Usually the chef/manager will come out and talk to you also. Disney is one of our fav places not only because we love the rides/atmosphere etc, but my DD feels safe wherever we eat there.
