Effecient Call To Member Services

Called to change my reservation from a Tree House Villa for 7 nights (Aug. 16-23) to a 1 bedroom std. view at Kidani for 10 nights (Aug. 16-26) and it was super fast and effecient. The call lasted about 5 minutes total. Good stuff!!

Good for you. What time of day did you call?
 
I have also had similar good experiences with MS recently. Last week I called to add 3 nights to my Easter reservation. Call only took a few minutes and was able to be in the same resort/view as the other portion of my reservation allowing me to stay in one room. Very pleased with my experience.
 

My last experience with MS did not go as smooth. I called to do a re-allocation of points for a reservation this summer. I wanted to free up current use year points and replace those current points in the reservation with borrowed points. The MS rep did not speak english very well which added to the communication failure. I was basically being told that I could not do it because I had to use current use year points 1st before I borrowed points. I knew that to be false. After asking, a Supervisor came on the line and explained that in order to re-alocate the points the reservation would have to be canceled and then re-schduled using the re-allocated points. Unfortunately if this particular reservation were canceled it would have been lost and could not be re-schduled. This of course made perfect sense and I thanked the supervisor. Total time about 20 minutes.

I've been very lucky too when I called at 4:50 this past Tuesday. I wasn't on hold at all.
 
For the amount of money that we pay Disney, it really is a shame that we need to be lucky to get good service from MS. :sad2:

I made two calls to MS today, didn't wait on hold either time, and was able to book a studio for less than 2 weeks from now! I only had about 7 minutes until my meeting at work was starting and we were able to book the studio and set up DME while I was booking airfare on my end. I had one of the best MS people that I have ever dealt with!

I got my first choice for all but the last night, but forgot to waitlist it until I had hung up. So, an hour later (after my meeting had ended), I called back to waitlist and had another very pleasant call.

Felt like I had lots of pixiedust: helping me out today!

That is very strange. I had always thought you could do that. We have heard a few troubles lately about the order of use of points that I think were not policy but were system issues, but not like this. Has anyone else had this trouble? Did you try calling back & asking again?
 
I had to call member services several times in the past two weeks and I was on hold for at least several minutes each time. I assume they have fewer people working than in the past.
 
I called member services at 10 am. I had no wait and she was able to book me in a two bedroom at bw from 5/31-6/3. I was very happy.
