EFax - What do you think?

Hello. I am thinking of trying EFax, the service where I can get my faxes sent directly to my email and retrieve them from my computer or my Blackberry. Has anyone tried the service and if so, what are your thoughts?

I used it for years and loved it. It was SO handy on the road when I needed a contract faxed to me and I was 900 miles from my fax machine.

My husband has used it for about 2 years. I'm guessing he likes it, he has never said anything bad about it. He travels for work, and is able to get his faxes while on the road. He also doesnt have to worry about faxes getting lost when they come in.

Thanks for the replies. Because EFax does not offer local service in my area, I would be forced to use a toll-free number as my fax number. Do you think clients would think that is odd? Since it is toll free, it wouldn't cost them anything and these days most locations require punching in the area code anyway . . .

Dh's company has used this for years. It is SOOO easy and convenient for everyone. If you offer a toll-free fax number your customers would probably think you are looking out for their bottom line. Most companies don't have a toll-free fax.

We use something similar her at work (minus the Blackberry) We work from home 4 days a week and the service is great!

Thanks Safety Mom. I just checked out My Fax's website and their product is less expensive than EFax. Do you know what the difference is?

Also, do you ever have a problem receiving a fax? Have your clients questioned your toll free tax number as weird?

No I don't know the difference. I have never had a problem sending or receiving a fax. I have received them all over the country with no problem. No my clients like the toll free number and it makes me appear larger than I am.

I have not used it, but my company forbids us to use this service because information can easily be broken into. It's actually stated in our employee code of conduct program. If you have very sensitive information, you may not want to either.

I use eFax without any problems at all. I also have a toll free number since they don't offer a local number for my area. No one's ever questioned it at all. I might have to check into My Fax though because every little bit helps!
