We had to get a new dishwasher because our old one just wasn't doing its job. We were having to rewash half the dishes whenever we did a load because they would be crusty or something.

So DH buys a new dishwasher and disposal. He took the old dishwasher out and we noticed lots of little things that looked suspiciously like mouse droppings and dried mouse pee on top of the dishwasher.

We haven't seen a mouse in our house since we first moved in and I'm pretty sure there's not a dead one in the protective batting that's on top of the dishwasher.

But I sure as heck ain't ripping it open to find out either!

Why did I open this thread? LOL!

Garage disposals in general make me wanna yak. We don't have one, and DH has to dig yucky stuff out of the sink when stuff won't go down... I won't go near it, I just leave it for him

TOV - mice can fit in the tiniest cracks. I had mouse droppings behind my fridge when they moved it. Once I had a mouse tail coming out of my lighting fixture! Seems somehow that light was the end of the line, when I unscrewed it -- it was full of skeletons! We live next to a cornfield, so we are always fighting the rodents. I've never seen them in our living space, but I know they are in the basement around the darkened crawl areas. Also in our garage. Whatyagonnado? They don't eat much!!

Although we've never smelled it, we're pretty sure there is a dead mouse somewhere inside the walls of our house. When we first moved in, there was a mouse who would come o ut from under the dishwasher to steal catfood. Well one night, Precious (our old cat) caugh it! And as we were chasing her around the living room trying to get it from her, she dropped it and it limped away, never to be seen again. So I assume it died in the walls of our house somewhere.
