Help me eliminate one of these three:

Coral Reef- we like seafood and I think the aquarium would mesmerize my twins
Crystal Palace dinner - mainly for the characters
50s PTC- my boys love meatloaf...

I can't figure out which to eliminate! I've currently decided on Le Cellier, Garden Grill, and Tusker House breakfast, but can't make up my mind on the others!

Anyone have any suggestions!?!? THANKS!!! :)

I'd vote out CP for dinner.

Your DS's will see a lot of characters during the trip so I'd go with the better meals.

Also, I've learned from the experience of taking my DS by myself (when he was 9mos, 18mos &3yo), that buffets are hard when they are that small. You get up, get food, then DH will go, get food, refills, etc. Its not relaxed at all. I've found that someone bringing us our food is so much more relaxing when the kids are that small. Hakuna Matatta. No worries.

Ooh! Good point about the buffets! Never even thought about it that way!

Anyone else want to share your two cents??

Another question-

Tusker House breakfast:

we could do a mid/late breakfast on an EMH morning after doing the safari OR
try for an 8:00 breakfast on a 9:00 opening day, hitting the park afterwards

What would you do??

I'd also pitch the CP....I didn't think the food was "all that" in December....the theme in the 50s PTC is much cooler and the Coral Reef....well, its the Coral Reef....love the food and the fish tank...

let us know what you do...

I agree about CP. If you kids LOVE Pooh and friends then keep it, but it is not a relaxing meal. Disney has a hidden attraction...trying to time getting/eating you food between character visits to the table!
50s PTC was very good and a lot of fun. A keeper!
CR had wonderful food, but a long wait even with ADRs.

We did TH on a EMH morning (7:00) with a 8:45 ADR. We were able to do EE (with RS), FP for Dinosaur, and TSpin. Our FP time was up at 9, so I left breakfast and ran to FP Safari...I think I missed Mickey. The benefit of doing an EMH day is that you only have resort guests for the first hour, so if you have breakfast about 9:30-10:00 you get so much out of the way (or FPs) as others are just entering the park.

I'd go for the 8:00 breakfast. We had an ADR at 8:05 last October & it worked out perfectly. We were finished early enough to make rope drop. Our DS & his girlfriend rushed to EE to get fastpasses, then we all rode the safari with no wait. As for the other question, I'd drop Garden Grill for Coral Reef. If you drop Crystal Palace, you won't have a meal in MK, but will have 3 meals in Epcot.

I thought that breakfast at CP was our least favorite breakfast. The characters were nice since we didn't really see them other places (we saw Darby and Tigger once at Pooh's play area...can't remember the name but we didn't stop because we were going to see Tigger at TH.) The food was not that great and the buffet thing is rather complicated with kiddos (agreeing with earlier poster.) Tusker House was our favorite breakfast for the food. I have not done the other two restaurants you are trying to decide between. I would make the TH ressie for after the EMH's so you can go on rides and then dine while others are entering the park.

DD with Daisy at Tusker House breafast.

That was our feelings exactly! Normally, I'd never recommend CP, but the OP doesn't have another MK choice.

Ok, it seems like there's a pretty overwhelming majority here! We'll drop CP- and FWIW, that was the one I was least thrilled about the menu. I realize we won't have any dinners at MK, but that's ok with us. Due to our boys' schedule, we'll be leaving the parks every day for a nap, and it's easier to get to Epcot for dinner anyways. I'm kinda bummed about not seeing Pooh and friends, but my guys aren't big Pooh fans, so they won't care at all! Thanks everyone SOOOOO much for helping me decide!!! :thanks:

Another recommendation in favor of 50s Prime Time here. I quite enjoyed it on my last trip, even if I did get yelled at a couple of times (I know, where are my manners?)

Even though CP may not be the best buffet in WDW I would still pick it over coral reef. The dinner here was the worst on our trip and the service was absolutely terrible. The atmosphere is interesting but that cannot distract from the poor food and service. I will not be going back to coral reef.

Fyi: 50's prime time is one of our faves!!

I know everyone's giving Crystal Palace a bad wrap, but we really loved it!
The food is not the best in Disney, but it's certainly not the worst! And I don't know about your babies, but mine have loved pooh since birth! And you have to balance the buffet issue with the issue of entertaining your kiddos at 50s PTC where Pooh & Piglet are not doing that for you! ;)
We loved it!!!
