Now I can get a ticker and start planning our hotels etc.

Only 15 months until we're back in WDW! :goodvibes

I cannot settle on hotels though....

It is a 2 week trip (Thu-Thu_ with the wedding on the first tuesday. So these are my current possibly layouts:

1:

Thu-Mon - AKL CL

Mon-Thu - GF RPC (DF will be in AKL until Tues so I don't him on the wedding morning)

Thu-Thu - BLT MK View studio on borrowed points.

2:

Thu-Mon - AKL CL

Mon-Thu - GF RPC (DF will be in AKL until Tues so I don't him on the wedding morning)

Thu-Sun - BC or BW

Sun-Thu - BLT MK View studio on borrowed points.

3:

Thu-Mon - Contemporary or BLT

Mon-Thu - GF RPC (DF will be in CR/BLT until Tues so I don't him on the wedding morning)

Thu-Thu - AKL CL - this way we could do some of the safaris and CL stuff on our honeymoon...

I personally wouldn't go for option 2 as there are too many hotel changes. The other two make more sense- you want to relax a little on your honeymoon! I think option 3 is the best one, (with BLT rather than the Contemporary), as you have AKL to look forward to. I remember you saying how much you loved it!

Thanks Lauren. I do love AKL. :)

Only thing is that's where my Mum wants to stay in teh lead up to the wedding. So we're wondering if it's better to be in the same hotel as them for the start of the trip....

Decisions decisions, lol.

As ever DF is just saying "wherever you like babes. Oh - but I don't wnt to be able to see the Swan and Dolphin"

I say option 3 - 2 of my fav hotels GF and AKL. We did Concierge level at AKL last August and loved it. Make sure you do the morning safari as it is great as you get to see the animals and you get information from the people who look after the animals and they answer all your questions. It is better than seeing the safari during the park hours

Have great fun planning your wedding and honeymoon:thumbsup2

:rotfl: The ubiquitous Swolphin! It's everywhere!!

Hmm, I don't think it's necessary for everyone to stay in the same hotel leading up to the wedding. Your mum will be with you at the GF won't she? I suppose it depends on what you're planning on doing during those first few days. If you're touring parks then you can just meet up.

How exciting! I can't advise on the hotels but I would suggest not too many hotel changes as you want to be relaxed.:goodvibes If I ever get married again, I will do it at WDW;) Only joking - good job DH doesn't read these boards.:lmao:

Have fun planning.:goodvibes

I'd recommend anyone to do it though, Disney make it very easy and stress free.

Not just a Disney wedding, but a wedding in Florida is highly recommended!! We got married in Cypress Grove and loved it, Virgin Weddings made everything so easy!!

Have fun planning :)

Thanks guys, it is very fun. But it still feels so far away!!

I wish I could of but I wasn't aloud to get married abroad :( I hope you have great time & I look forward to seeing all your pictures :)

:) Thank you. Will be a long time until they are here though!

I am thrilled for you. I love option three - I would got for BLT for the option segment. It would be lovely to have AKL to look forward to at the end!

But they would all be great!

Thanks for your input everyone. :)

It's funny, we love AKL, like LOVE it. But I worry it'll seem a let down after the GF - is that silly of me?

I thought the same as you, we stayed at the GF for our 1 "free" night when we had our Disney Wedding. We had amazing service and a stunning room (we were upgraded to a honeymoon room in one of the turrets). You really couldnt fault it.

However that being said my favourites are still the YC/BC hotels. I just prefer the theme of them, the location the pools etc. Good job too as i could never afford to stay in that room again :)

Agreed, getting married in Orlando was simple and hassle free :goodvibes

so what date are you getting married Torsie?
All being well 5th April 2011.

I am on the Disney Calendar, and our photographers have pencilled us in. Only problem is our reception venue is in the GF convention centre, and conventions get to officially book at 12 months, and weddings only at 8. So until August we can't be 100% certain.
