We just returned from a quick trip. We were at AK on Sunday, March 26th, and the place was a zoo (no pun intended!) We arrived about 12:30 (due to scheduling issues) and the FP for EE were already gone. The standby time at that point was 80 minutes so we resigned ourselves to the fact we wouldn't be riding EE. Later, as we were walking by EE (it was complete madhouse around the ride), I decided to go ask the CM about the single rider line. He said it was the same line as the FP line which looked long but the standby line at that point was 100 minutes. They give you a ticket for the single rider line at the entrance to the FP line and the single rider line breaks off from the FP line further up where you give the CM your ticket. So we decided to go since it would be the only way we could ride although I was hesitant because of DD9 and DD10. I went first in the line and DH went last so someone would be there when DDs got off. We ended up getting on in 10 minutes (which was quicker then FP at that time because rider had earlier gone down). DD9 and I even ended up in the same row! 3 of us were in one train and the 4 (DH) was in the next train. We decided to do the same thing later (twice actually) and the wait was appox. 4 minutes and 2 minutes (absolutely no single rider line and we all ended up in same train!) It turned out great and my kids didn't mind at all. So if you go to EE when the standby line is long, the Single Rider line is a great option. The sign is hidden behind the FP line so most people don't even know it is there. It was closed off about 4:30 however (closing was 5). Also, children have to be at least 7 to use the single rider line.
