EE strategy- Attend EE parks or not?

We went 2 summers ago when they had early entry and loved it. We noticed the crowds did get thicker as the day went along. But we would usually leave early afternoon for our hotel. Does this strategy still work? I've read a lot of "avoid early entry days at all costs" posts. Is that if you don't intend to get there early, or have the ee parks become that crowded upon early opening?

The parks haven't become more crowded during the EE time. Those posts are referring to people who don't attend the EE. Your old strategy of attending EE then leaving when the crowds get heavy will still work well.

Just returned yesterday and I could not tell a difference on EE or a regular day. The most we waited the whole time we were there was 10-15 at the most. Fastpass was not even in service on a number of attractions. Except for the heat this past week was a GREAT week to go!!!:) I think it was even less crowded than last year. :)

we have always done ee and usually stay the whole day. how about some info for those who do the opposite. any certain way to pick a specific park of the other three that is not ee that day?
thanks

We always do EE. Then when the crowds get really heavy we leave. There are days however when the crowds don't seem to bother us and we'll stay. But in general we will leave, go back to the resort and hit the pool or sit and have lunch somewhere. I sometimes even manage to sneak in a "nap"! :)

We have about 4 EE's planned in our 14 day stay. The rest of the time - plan to visit the parks which have had their EE day the day before - generally works OK. On EE days - we like a late breakfast or early lunch in the park then head off elsewhere. Won't bother doing EE at Epcot - only 3 rides open - all of which we can take or leave.

Do EE. I think that it is definately worth doing it. Get the big rides out fast and enjoy the rest of your trip.

We did EE for MK and MGM; it worked well. At MGM we were able to walk on ToT and Star Tours, and we had about a 10 minute wait for RnRC. We also walked into Muppets. We were done with all by 9:20. We then did WWTBAM, meet Buzz and Woody and saw Indy. Then the park was really filling up (this was after the 1:00 Indy show) so we left. We came back another day and did other rides we missed. When we did MK, we were able to go on Dumbo, Pooh, Peter Pan, the Carrousel and Small World by 9:10. We then did Splash, Big Thunder, Aladdin's Carpets, Jungle Cruise and the Tiki Room with little waits. We came back in the late afternoon and conquered Tomorrowland and Toontown. We also toured the MK on 2 other days so we really saw everything several times....EE definitely worked well for us. :)
