EE Days

I was wondering what time to arrive at the park for early entrance mornings? If he scheduled time for opening is 9am and it is EE day for that park 1 hour before?

It's been a while since I have been to WDW but I know 6 or 7 years ago we would arrive at the park 30 minutes before stated time on regular days and about 90 minutes before on EE days. Does that still sound right? Is that enough time if we want to wake up Tinker Bell?

Man it has been a LLooonngg time for me but we are getting closer.

Unlike years ago when the park opened even earlier than the exact 1 hour prior, they definately open exactly 1 hour prior. I would be there 20 minutes or so prior to the opening so you could be in line for the drop of the ropes. They usually start letting people into the gates to a rope area about 10 minutes prior to opening. I'm sure it varies by day and park but this is what we usually notice.

So if the park opens at 9am, it will open pretty much on time at 8am.

I've never waken tinkerbell, but I would be there early to be at the front of the ropes. Plus the courtyard at the beginning of mainstreet is usually full of characters and many people stop there to get autographs prior to going in. This will help there to be less people at the ropes.

I agree with MelanieC. Allow 10-15 minutes for a bag check (if applicable) and trip thru the turnstyle. After the rope drops the crowds move in and dissipate quickly. You'll be happy with EMH.

I am glad I asked because I would have treated it like I use too and would have arrived about 2 hours early. Thaks would have been a bummer.

Don't forget to allow plenty of time if you're taking a disney bus from a resort.
