we have 2 day park hoppers and are staying off site - so no EE for us, but we are going on a Monday, Tuesday.. so the EE crowds will be an hour ahead of us. I'm wondering how this changes our plan of attack.

I've heard only FL is open during EE.. but i've also hear TL is sometimes open. If that's the case, we probably don't want to start with Space and Buzz, which is what all of our different touring plans suggest we do first.

Also.. on EE days, do they ever let regular guests in a little early or is it a hard open time for the public? I've heard EE guests line up at the rope drop for the lefthand side of the park, and i'm wondering if we'll get a chance to line up too, or if there will be a hoard of EE people ahead of us. Thanks in advance for the input!:thumbsup2

During our days using EE, the EE folks lined up for a Rope Drop near the Tiki Show while the Gen. Adm. folks were roped off 100 yards back on Main St. (but this was for a 9am Gen. Adm. opening) Even so I wouldn't call it a horde of folks since many who are doing EE are in FL or Tomorrowland.

Given what your parameters are & what i mention above, if it was me, I would do Tomorrowland first on your NON EE day & do the "left side" of the park on your EE day.

When we did the left side at rope drop, we did (in order):

- Indy FP pickup
- Splash
- Pooh
- HM
- Jungle Ride
- Indy (with the FP)

All was a walk on (except for indy which was FP)

The problem is that BOTH Monday and Tuesday are EE days and the OP has no EE, so both days will be faced with rope drop with EE visitors ahead of them in line.

To the OP, is there anyway you can change your days to a Sun/Mon or Tues/Wed? One day of a level playing field at park opening will make your visit so much better. Or even better, how about adding a day and getting EE on your ticket? This could benefit you a couple of different ways. Having an EE morning would allow you to:

1. Crank out every FL ride in under an hour.

OR

2. Have a good chance at riding Nemo with a wait of 60 minutes or less.

Good luck with your decision.

DangerMouse is (of course) correct. EE is both Mon & Tue. Thanks for the correction. :thumbsup2

I am in a similar predicament as DisneyJade. Our days our Monday and Tuesday and definitely cannot be changed... So if changing is not an option for myself or DisneyJade, then what would ya'll suggest? :goodvibes

I can't wait to hear everyone's suggestions on this one.
We're going for 5 days staying off-site, so we only get 1 EE day!:sad1:
We'll use it on Monday, then I'll upgrade to an AP.

I'm really tempted to call PPH to book a backup room..We could be taking advantage of 3 EE days! We are staying across the street for $93 per night.

I guess we'll just line up at the rope at 9:30 and hang out on Main St. We're going at the end of Sept so the park is open 10-8pm.

No worries joeysmommy, at the end of Sept. you should have very small ques on most rides. I wouldn't fret about not having EE on all days offered. You should be able to easily accomplish everything you want to see in DLR in five full days.

For the others going peak season, my only suggestion is to read hydro's FP rules and utilize ridemax. Collect as many FP's as possible (combine FP and child switch pass if you can).

For Peter Pan and Dumbo, I've read that trying to get in line immediately following the fireworks is a great plan because ride is just reopening and you have your best bet for shorter lines.

thanks dangermouse- You are making me feel so much better.
We went last year at the end of September but it was the last week of the 50th celebration. A CM told me it was busier than usual for that time of year due to the 5oth and everyone trying to see it before it was gone.

We took advantage of 2 EE days while staying at DLH. My husband mentioned that EE didn't really help since everyone was in FL or TL.
We still waited about 25 minutes for Peter Pan and 20 minutes for Dumbo on Tuesday's EE.

Hopefully this year won't be as busy.

so you guys think 5days on non peak seson will be enough time (three days ee) to see most everything pluse riding a few a coupel times.

I also sugest changing your day so one isnt an ee day. or upgrading to 3day park hopper and getting an ee day?

JadeDarkStar- We have a 5 day park hopper(I'm upgrading to an AP after we get in on Monday's EE) Mon-Fri.
I wish we could stay longer but my son will already have missed 5 days of school. Last year we did 4 days and we just needed 1 more day. So I talked my husband into 5 days this year.
He doesn't care for Disneyland.

Do you mean get a 2 day park hopper and a 3 day park hopper to equal 5 days?

Natalie

um ok so use ee on monday and upgrade to ap on tuesday..wouldnt that mean you have one day ee befor going to ap? (i could be wrong i dont know ap stuff much yet.

hi- you can only use ee with an AP if you are staying at the DLR, otherwise you have to use up your EE day before upgrading or you lose it.

Did you mean buy a 2day park hopper and a 3 day park hopper?

humm, what about buying a 3day hopper in stead 2hopper. then dont you get one ee day. and then upgrade it to ap..(im just trying to think sorry if im confuseing)

If I upgrade I'm better off just buying the 5 day park hopper for $170, becuz either way I'm going to have to pay $239 for the AP no matter what the difference is.
Maybe I could buy 2 day and 3 day park hoppers for my kids since I won't be upgrading theirs....or maybe I should just upgrade everyone's park hopper since we're going next year too.
Is it a waste of money to upgrade a child to AP?
I haven't really looked at the cost comparison on a child's admission.

ahh ok i see, sorry i was trying to figuer it out. im not the best to answer ee and hoppper questions..DM is tho he seems to know everything
