EE at Grosvenor?

Can I use early entry if I stay at a downtown disney hotel? How's the busses? Best rooms?l Thanks

I was told recently by CRO that the only hotel in DTD that has EE and guarenteed entry to WDW is the Hilton.

I'll confirm that, that the only Downtown Disney resort that seems to have made the deal with Disney for early entry and guaranteed entry is the Hilton. If those are important to you, you might want to consider the Hilton or a Disney-owned resort. However, with that said, the Grosvenor is in a very good location, easy walking to Downtown Disney, and I hear very few complaints about it. Some of the rooms are exterior access, and while that doesn't matter to me, if it matters to you, you might consider that when making your choice as well.

Oh, I might add that I was impressed with the Downtown Disney resorts bus service. Instead of the "walk up to the bus stop and wait for the Disney bus, which may come in 5 minutes or 45 minutes", the Downtown Disney buses come twice an hour, and are usually pretty much on time, so that I could actually time my arrival to the bus stop to catch the bus. They are nice big motorcoaches too with the padded seats and everything compared to the city bus-type Disney buses. The only time you should expect to have to stand on the Downtown Disney buses is the first bus after park closing, because they hold more people.

First off let me say my one and only stay at the Grosvenor was over 10 years ago so I'm sure much has changed. I really didn't like the hotel or my room. A maintenance guy tried to get in the room without knocking and we were bombarded with South American teenagers who kept calling our room in the middle of the night. Our TV was also broken. Now I'm sure things have changed but I would never stay that close to Disney and not stay directly on property again. The area is kind of iffy. We had a scary experience walking up the hotel BLVD. I guess if you can get an ok rate it would be worth it. The room was ok but it was accessed from the outside.
