I have read that when doing EE days you should split your day and leave EE park by the afternoon due to higher volumes. If this is a a good strategy which parks are good to team up together. I hate to spend too much time waiting for buses.

we usually do a non ee park to avoid any crowds that the ee may cause. On occasion we have rolled out of bed early enough to do the ee and then left at about 1pm for a swim at the hotel and then to another park or DD. The ee park always seems more crowded to me except maybe Epcot.

We did MK's EE on a Sunday, and we really loved it! Afterwards, you can take the monorail to Epcot. If MK starts getting crowded after 3 hours you can be in World Showcase when it is opening and grab a great lunch there. Of course, you can't get all of MK done in a 1/2 day, so we go back on another morning and stay until close. :earseek:

If you do Epcot's EE on Wednesday, you can boat over to MGM midday. MGM's EE is the previous day, so the crowds shouldn't be too bad there on Wednesday. We also did Epcot on a Thursday and it was practically empty since their EE was the previous day. I don't think MGM would be too bad on Thursday either, since that is MK's EE.
