Educate youself before and after you buy

I was just scrolling through disboard posts and was struck by how many posts related to bad experiences due to missed banking deadlines and unrealized costs. Do your homework. Read your contract. Are you familiar with ALL the deadlines of DVC membership? Do you know what holding points are? doe you know how point reallocation works? do you know the rules for renting your points and renting points from DVC? Are you aware that you can join DVC and addon from the resale market. Know what you are buying before you sign on the dotted line. Learn about your membership after you become a member. I would hate to see your post asking for help when you realize that you have missed a banking deadline.
