eduational opportunities?????

Alrighty my 7th grader must develop a project while on our Disney trip this dec. It must focus on educational opportunities-this makes his principle feel better about him missing school. This child has not missed one day of school, has a 98 average, is in beta club, and is the starting point guard for the bb team and he still wants to give me grief!!!!!!!!!! Oops venting. Curious if anyone has any idea, obvious choices would be e pcot and AK. Anyone have any creative idea???

I like the idea of having them calculate the budget (package vs. a la carte, etc...) She could also figure out how many hours she would have to babysit to pay for a character meal, day in the park, night at the hotel and do some kind of analysis. She could even be *in charge* of spending and budgeting for the trip.

Time management is another great skill to be learned at Disney.

Lots of opportunities at Animal Kingdom for learning about animals, habitats etc...

What are his interests? This is a great opportunity for your child to explore something he is truly interested in, while learn something new. Don't pick a random project -- let his true interests guide you on this one. Tell us some of his interests and maybe we can help you more.

Another thought is to develop a set of 3-4 questions and ask CMs around the Parks and resorts.
It would develop verbal communication skills, written note taking, and you will learn some fun things about people.
Then write a brief paper on your findings.

I say MAKE IT FUN.
(shame on the principal for giving homework, that stinks.)
