Heather, I don't think you did anything wrong. I think the thread was deleted because it was so "heated" and that's why your getting that message.

Mod's please correct me if I'm wrong!

But she isn't talking about the thread that was deleted. She is talking about a different thread that she linked. Right?

Inquiring minds want to know.:)

My guess is that that thread was deleted because someone on it either attacked someone or inappropriate language was used somewhere along the line.

Your best option is to send an email to the webmasters and ask them what happened.

Hoping you get an answer about this as it doesn't look like you did anything wrong! Thanks Robin!

Don't feel bad. I had a thread deleted the other day and I have no idea why. I didn't think it was in poor taste. There were a couple of replys that I never got a chance to read. Maybe there was something inappropriate there. It is frustrating to have them just disappear without knowing why.

Agreed.

Additionally, it would be nice to know if the fault lies with me so as not to repeat the offense.
Hi Heather, always nice to see you again. How is Brian??

I think it would be in the best interests of the DIS if they (whoever 'they' are) would send the OP of a thread that was deleted, the cause for such, even if it was just to let the person know it is gone and the why, hopefully to educate and help the occurrence not to happen again. If it was because a thread got out of hand, fine, just tell the OP, common courtesy, IMO. I never deleted a thread, closed one nor moved one without telling the OP I did, and why. (And don't give me the 'when I was a moderator' crap, I did not say it so as to satisfy those clods who object to my stating a fact). I think it counter productive, or at least unproductive, to not inform people as to why. We do it with our children, it works, it's called education. On the CB, only 'The DIS Moderator Team' (whatever that is) can do that stuff, along with WM's, as I understand it. The regular ones do not have the ability to do those here, but whatever the Team is, should inform. If it was deleted from the tech board, lord knows who does that.

Chipperdini-

Do you have your PMs turned off?

I deleted that thread from the Tech Support board. Frankly, it looked like it was a mistake, like a post that might have been part of a thread somewhere else. But it definitely did not look like something that was meant to be posted on the Tech Support board.

I apologize if this has caused you distress, but the post did not make sense and appeared to be a mistake.
