They are in Calgary, Alberta and my favourite team has those fully Canada Maple Leaf hats on their heads.

It's on now - Tuesday Sept 21 - on CBS (don't know the Canadian Channel)

Enjoy!

Update: For those of you who don't watch AR - it is a reality show (won the emmy for the best one two years in a row) in which teams of two race around the world for $1M. It's really interesting because it's actually part travel showcase.

The final three teams had to go to Calgary. They did a good job of showing some of the sights of YYC. They were there in the winter, and boy could I feel that cold right through the TV.

The neat thing was that three of the six contestants were wearing the red maple leaf hats shaped like a leaf (we got ours at Canadian Tire a few years ago) They look neat and goofy at the same time.

It was nice to see a bit of "home" (even though I'm from Toronto area.....just visited Calgary a few times) on a big US TV show. Also, my fav team won!

It was "amazing" to see a location in Canada! It was very exciting to see Chip and Kim come from behind to win! Hopefully next season, another Canadian city will be showcased.

I was on the edge of my seat urging Kim and Chip on! I'm so glad they won. :)

I couldn't believe how calm Colin was at the finish line when he and Christie came in second. I thought that was totally out of character for him.

Can't wait for the next AR to start!

This Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't Know why or how it is happening, but they have it listed as a Saturday night 8pm program.

It is suppose to be AR 6.

I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is SO cool that they won.. I had to tape it last night and just watched it!
I was rooting for Brandon & Nicole until she started crying riding that bike... that did it for me, then I moved to the Chip and Kim Camp lol I am excited that they are starting the new one so soon!

I thought it was funny when they get in the cab at the Calgary airport and the driver is a man wearing a turban. It was so typically Canadian!!!

I was so glad to see Chip and Kim win. They didn't drive up any shoulders and played the game well.

Nicole was a goof when she told Brandon that she wanted to ride the bikes and then she has a hissy fit half way through they ended up doing the luge after wasting so much time. Then once they are done and in the cab she starts telling Brandon that it was his fault, that she had wanted to ride the luge in the first place.

Did anyone think the stop in Canada seemed to be much shorter than the stops just about every other place they went or was it just me LOL. I watched it when I got home I made Lisa tape it for me so I finally went to bed at about 3:30 this morning after watching 2 wheel tuesday and American Chopper and American Hotrod LOL. I loved the young cabby that corrected Brandon on his pronunciation of Calgary LOL that was to funny.

I've been enjoying AR5 so much! I'm thrilled that the good guys finished first. Chip and Kim treat each other and those around so politely and they seemed to enjoy every minute of their experience. I've heard rumours that the release of AR6 has been delayed - first from Sept. 25 to Oct. 2, and then to later in October or November, depending upon how some of the other new series do. I hope you're right though, pjpoohbear. I'm ready for AR6 today!

I couldn't believe how calm Colin was at the finish line when he and Christie came in second. I thought that was totally out of character for him.

LOL! I even said "What have you done with the REAL Colin?" I too was glad that Chip and Kim won. I would have been happy if the bowling moms had won too. Or even Brandon and Nicole. Just NOT Colin and Christie. I've decided that I love this show even more than I did Survivor. Of course, now I want to TRAVEL!:teeth:

Knowing Colin, he probably had his hissy fit before they got to the finish line because the way that they edited it, you never saw them until they came over that little hill and by then they knew they didn't win, they weren't even running! There's NO way that Christie and Colin took it that well!

I was rooting for Chip and Kim the whole race because they were so nice and always had positive attitudes, they were one of the few teams that actually appreciated where they were and that they got the opportunity to see such places (remember Chip when he crossed the Nile river?! )

Colin and Christie were a strong team but they treated each other and those around them like crap!

It was great seeing the Calgary airport, considering that I've worked there for 2 years and it's like my second home. Too bad I was working the night shift in February otherwise I would have been there at 5 am and probably would have seen them.

The best moment was when the other teams found out that they were delayed. I know the guy who was working there and that told them that it was delayed and I was thinking..."way to go Brent!!!! woooo!"

I am glad that Chip and Kim won it, especially after that comment Colin made after they figured out that Chip and Kim would have an 18 minuted lead...don't remember the exact words but something to the effect of "They're ahead of us but no worries, they always make big mistakes so we will catch up!"

I saw it on the CBS fall show schedule. But www.zap2it.com does not show it for at least the next two Saturdays.:o  :(

I was thinking the same thing, Cass, that there was no way Colin and Christie would have taken it so well. There MUST gave been more to it than that. I think we probably saw "take 2", or "3" or "4". ;)

Nancy, I was rooting for the Bowling Moms or Chip and Kim and then Brandon and Nicole.

If anyone finds out "for sure" when the next AR starts, please post it here! :hyper:

AR6 is supposed to air sometime this fall but has been delayed. Probably the end of October or early November.

How many American's will think the weather is like that in Calgary 12 months of the year?

CdnDisneyNut,

LOL, no kidding huh?
You know, it really wasn't all that cold! We had an amazing winter this past year, I think the warmest and dryest (meaning no snow) since I moved here 22 years ago.

According to Weather Underground it was -3 ºC at 5am on Feb 26th, the day they got to Calgary and it was -5ºC the next day at 5am (which is when the check in counters open at the airport) but the fog made it look a lot colder. Mind you, if you are coming from the Philippines, -5 would be quite the temperature change, I'm sure!

Hey we have actually had people from GA and other southern states ask us if we like living with snow all the time. I just laugh and tell them that we have season just like the US does even the northern states have winter you know LOL.
