Happened to me too curios, i had to change my password and then seemed to work fine, may or may not work

XxCuriosityxX<3, from what I understand, chat does not recognize special characters or spaces in user names.

If you have these in your regular name, you need to register a new name for chat.

Asking on the Technical Boards will get you the correct answer for sure though.
