He killed it! I haven't laughed that hard watching SNL in a very long time. I can't wait to see the Coming to America sequel he just finished filming, too!

Same here. 1984 doesn't usually seem like forever ago, but then it sinks in that it has been 35 years.

Last sketch and the taped family sketch were the best ones of the night. Ironically, both were not a "greatest hits" sketch.

Overall, it wasn't the best of the season (probably Chance the Rapper) but Eddie Murphy's still got it.

We just watched it a couple of days ago. Yowsa, I forgot how "raw" his comedy was. I preferred Delirious.

Didn't watch considering SNL hasn't been good in a decade but if he was the only bright spot of the entire show....that says a lot about the rest of your cast.

He wasn’t the only bright spot.

Love Kate but the rest of them are bad.
And that cake skit wasn’t it almost identical to one from last year.
They should only pay the writers half for that one.
Glad they went back to this Biden like him much better than woody.

Disagree as the ladies are all pretty strong, although Ego and Melissa are underutilized. Check out Melissa on the Tonight Show where she did some spot on impressions.

Bowen has been good in his first season, and Kenan has always been sneaky good at controlling a sketch. The rest of the guys, to be honest, are mostly interchangeable.

I recall in 84 it was also a guest hosting spot.

I was a bit disappointed that he didn’t do Gumby in full green face makeup.

Only saw the clips. Did he revisit the Mr White sketch?
