ECVs on boats/busses?

HI there! We are having my parents with us for 4 days of our July stay at BWV.
Dad has a bad back that is worse than he hoped it would be by now. He even has surgery scheduled for August. Today he said he may not even want to go to the parks! But we have discussed ECVs and he is going to go to the grocery store and try one out (he is a stubborn one).
I have two websites where I can rent ECVs for the duration of their stay. My question is.... Do ECVs fit on all the busses? How about the boat to MGM and Epcot? One disability guide I was reading said some ECVs are too long for the bus lifts. Are there any particular ones? The two rental sites I found are CARE medical equipment and Walker.

I have been very happy when I rented from Care Medical. ECVs fit on the buses. The ones that don't are personal ones that are oversized. A normal sized ECV will fit. Not a buses are lift equipped but I would say about 90% are. You should have no problems.
EPCOT and MGM boats are fine with ECVs

I have rented from Walker, and their ECVs have no problems for the buses.

Most, but not all, of the buses are lif equipped. Note that if your father is mobile, and there are seats available in the bus, it is much faster if he can go to a regular seat once the ECV is on the bus; that way they don't have to lock down the EVC. If he remains seated in the ECV, it has to be locked down which can slow things up considerable.

As far as other transportation, with the exception of the Magic Kingdom yachts there should be no problems. All boarding from the Ferry Boats is with a ramp. When you board the monorail, they will ask where you are going to get off so the people at that station are ready for you.

The "Friendships", which are internal to Epcot and between Epcot, Y&B, Swolphin and MGM are at floating docks, so the boat and dock levels remain constant. The Wheelchair/ECV entrance is at the back, they put down a small ramp and you can either ride outside or in the wheelchair area just inside the door.

Thanks for the info. Yes he is mobile, I think he is leaning toward getting an ECV in case the pain gets intolerable, but he will be able to sit on the bus. We are not going to MK with them (they say they were there in 88 so they don't need to see it again  !) but we will be on the bus to go to AK, and I'm trying to talk them into shopping at DD. We'll be on the boats quite a bit though; Dad really likes Epcot.
