After several chats with folks who've done it before, I'm about ready to give in and rent an offsite ECV for our trip... but I's still a bit unsure about it.

How hard is it to get the scooters onto a bus? My depth perception isn't that great, and I'm *really* unsure about backing up under the best of circumstances.

How hard is it to get the scooter into the hotel room? I'm getting a handicap accessible room, does that make a difference?

Also - where in the AllStars Movies *are* the accessible rooms? And are there any that have a tub, or is just the showers available? (And if it's just the showers, will they let you request a hand-held shower like some others do?)

Thanks!!
Sana

Handicapped rooms are anywhere at ASMo. I have not been happy with the attitude towards handicapped guests and guests in general at this particular All Star Resort. Last time I was supposed to be in a handicapped room with a bath and ended up in a regular room and had to wait for a family member to help me in and out of the bath as the hand grips were insufficient. Instead of several grips there was just one on the wall.
They did nothing about changing to room. The attitude was too bad.
I believe that do have handheld in all the roll in showers as well as a drop down bench.
Getting ECVs on and off the bus is not a big deal. You do have to back but it is a very short backup. Maybe a family member could do it for you. Driver will not btw. Not allowed.

Enjoy your trip.
