ECV Scooter and BLT

I'm a new DVC member staying at BLT in 3 weeks!! My grandfather will have a scooter. Will his scooter fit through all doors at BLT and should I call member services to tell them we need a special room? He will not need it inside the room as he can walk short distances. I just want to make sure he can get it through the front door. Has anyone stayed in a handicapp room?

I believe that all the public doorways and hallways HAVE to be wide enough by law. In addition, he'll need to have the scooter in the room, or at least the batteries in the room, in order for it to be charged at night. The regular room doors should be wide enough for that.

There are HA rooms if he needs that. But if he can walk short distances, you shouldn't need HA.

The ECV will fit through all BLT doors. The public doors have the handicap buttons to open them electrically.
