We will be doing the EMM ( NOT to be confused with EMH) at HS. I know we need to be there before/by 7am and I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the scooter rental shop will be open at that time.
Regular park opening will be at 8:45/9am.
TIA

It has been years, but when I used to go early for breakfast at Magic Kingdom park before the park opened I was able to rent a park mobility scooter. If I recall correctly, I didn't see anyone around, but I asked a cast member nearby and they went in the back where the mobility rental scooters were stored and someone came out to help me. As I mentioned and this was a long time ago, but I would definitely ask for help.

I am sure someone will come along with a more recent experience.

Walt Disney World Water Parks and Disney Springs
  • Daily: $50
  • A refundable $100 deposit is required at this location
Daily Rentals are transferable between all locations. You pay just once for the day.

Length of Stay Rentals is not available for ECVs. However, vehicles can be held if Guests leave and return to the same park on the same day.

When Leaving Your Location
ECVs may not be removed from the destination where they were rented. When exiting your location, simply return your ECV to the rental counter to receive your deposit. If you’re at Disney Springs, your deposit will be returned at this time. If leaving one theme park and visiting another, present your rental receipt with your deposit to secure another ECV, if available.

Know Before You Go

  • ECVs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Reservations are not accepted, and quantities are limited. Please plan to arrive early.
  • Guests must be 18 years of age to rent ECVs. A photo ID is required.
  • The maximum weight is 450 pounds. ECVs are not designed to hold more than one person.
  • You are welcome to bring and use your own ECV throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

But I soon found out myself that renting from an outside vendor and being able to use the mobility scooter at the parks and to and from the resort sure was a lot better. But maybe that doesn't fit your situation.

Scooter rental is open as early as the first guests are allowed into the park - be that for EMM, EMH, or a PPO ADR. The only concern might be how many others are arriving early and wanting a rental, but I think that is probably a manageable number and shouldn't cause much delay getting on your way.

Enjoy your vacation!

Thank you RaySharpton and lanejudy, one less thing to worry about. :flower3:
