I have my own ECV that I’ve used many many times at WDW so I’ve never had to rent one - I know that for rentals at WDW, Golds seems to be the most recommended - but this May - we’re going to Disneyland- so my question is - any ECV rental advice? Is there a DL comparable company to Golds that anyone can recommend? We’re staying at Grand Californian DVC Villas if that makes any difference…

It's been years since I've rented at Disneyland, but I used Apple and was happy with them. Hopefully, you'll get some answers from those who've rented more recently.

Many people on the DL board use Deckert Medical Supply. They get consistently good reviews on that board. They don't have a website but you can Google for the phone number.

You might want to post your question on the DL board to see who people are using for ECV rentals these days.

Apple used to be decent out here at Disneyland, but unfortunately after the parks reopened they went way down hill.

The best DH had found prior to buying his own is Select Mobility https://anaheimscooters.com/

They are at one of the Best Westerns across Harbor from Disneyland. They have options for returning after hours if you aren't having them deliver to a hotel. Additionally, most of the time if you rent from them, they will let you park there for the same price or less as parking in the structure and it is closer and no need to worry about trams, even if they are running, it takes a while to get on one with a mobility device. Their customer service is good, not quite as good as Gold Mobility, but it is as close as you will get out here and is really good still.

There was another company that had even better customer service, but unfortunately too much of their inventory was lost to hotels that either never reopened or couldn't find the Scooters they had at bell services when forced to shut down and they never managed to recover.

There are also a few companies that you should be aware of issues with:
Soaring Scooters - Great customer service, but the models they use are very difficult to steer, you get a great upper body work out though.

Cloud of Goods - Equipment is in very bad repair.

Scooterbug - Equipment only shows up about 60% of the time and won't rent unless you are staying st a local hotel with bell services, but will deliver to Disney owned hotels and are the only company that can to Disney bell services. Air Bnb does not count.

Apple Scooter - Always shows up, but Equipment is in bad condition and will not rent unless you are staying at a local hotel with bell services, but will meet at Disney owned hotels. Air bnb does not count.

Additional decent choices:
Deckert - Will do things like rent to own

Anaheim Rent A Scooter - must be staying at local hotel and Scooter may not arrive initially fully charged. Also will require you to send a scan/photo of your driver's license. They work a lot with Knotts Berry Farm.
Anaheim Rent A Scooter https://yelp.to/31yOa3Ajjnb

Ultimately though, Select Mobility can't be beat for combination of customer service, equipment quality (they also use extended batteries like Gold does), price and location. And they will rent to anyone, even if not staying at a local hotel.

I just got back from Disneyland last month and used Select Mobility for my scooter rental. They were great to work with and my scooter was in wonderful condition and batteries lasted all day except one - even having to drive the extra distance with the trams not available yet when we were there.

FYI if you do need to charge there is a plug available at the entry of Space Mountain on the wall by the check in desk next to Pizza Planet seating.

Highly recommend them! The nice thing in Anaheim was I was able to just get the scooter dropped off at the front desk. It was waiting for me when we checked in and I left it there when we checked out. So easy!
