Can anyone recommend a good company for ECV Rentals at Disneyland? We're staying at the Grand Californian so I'd like a company that would be allowed to deliver and pick up from the hotel.

The ECV will be for my mom who can walk - but only for limited amounts before she needs to rest due to a heart condition. So we thought this would be a good solution. She won't have to actually use the ECV to wait in line so do you know if she'll be able to park the ECV somewhere outside the rides (like with the strollers) to wait on line and pick it up after the ride is over? We're thinking since it's her first time using it, it'll be easier for her to walk on to the rides rather than trying to learn how to maneuver it around the winding lines.

Deckerts was great. Their phone number is 714-542-5607. They delivered to an off site hotel in February for us. I assume they can deliver to GF but ask. They answer the phone as a dental supply company sometimes. Don't let that confuse you. Two businesses share the same receptionist. They do not have a website.

Your mom can either park the scooter and walk or stay on it for some rides. I would suggest staying on it for Soarin as that line covers a lot of real estate. Small World and maybe Toy Story have steps. She may want to stay on it then too and use the handicapped loading area. Those lines were scooter friendly. Parking is generally near the strollers.

We stayed at the Grand Californian pre cruise and also rented from
Deckerts. The ECV was waiting for us at guest services

AScooter4U is who I always use. The owner answers his own phone after hours, or if he's already on a call and it goes to voice mail, he will call back as soon as he possibly can.

As a matter of fact, the first time I ever called there, I was in a different state, and didn't realize it was after business hours in CA, until I heard it go to voice mail. I just hung up, without leaving a message, because I didn't think an after-hours call back would be appropriate when what I was trying to do was get a quote and possibly arrange a future rental. I figured I'd just call back the following day.... Well, not two minutes later, my phone rings with an Anaheim phone number on the caller ID ... I hesitantly answered, never in a million years guessing who it could be...

Guess what?— it was the owner. He said he was calling me back, even though I didn't leave a vm, because he was concerned that I might be someone having a problem with a scooter, and he didn't want to take a risk that I was stranded somewhere with a dead scooter. That's great customer care if you ask me!

When I told him that no, I was just calling to get a quote, but that I could call back the following day... He wouldn't hear of it, he told me all about the options and prices, and offered to take the reservation right then. He did have his receptionist call me the next morning to do the credit card, but only because another call came in.

His rates were comparable to the other place I'd called, but knowing that the owner was personally concerned about the people who were using the ECVs he rents, would have made it worth paying a little more for it. (I wish I could remember the owner's name-- unfortunately, I'm awful with names, ugghh.)

I can't remember for sure off the top of my head, and the paperwork is packed away right now, but I think that I had it for either 4 or 5 days, and I wanna say the total was in the neighborhood of $110-115. I might be off, or prices could have changed... But it's worth a call for sure. There was no charge for delivery to my hotel the night before my first park day, and they planned for pickup on the day I was checking out of the hotel. I just left it with the front desk staff.

Oh, another bonus— after our first day there, my sister's stubborn streak gave way, and she decided to call to get a scooter also, rather than limp along in misery for the rest if the trip (she's got severe arthritis, but hates to admit that it affects her). When she called to see if they could get her one for the next day, the owner insisted on delivering one that evening, but not starting the charges until next day... He even offered to bring it to DL park if we wanted. And we got a discount on both rentals... 5%, IIRC.... (I asked my sis, and she thinks it might have been 10%-- honestly, I remember 5%) Again, just stellar customer service that really went above and beyond. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Have a great trip.

I always rent through Scootaround. Great customer service, good rates, and they have a loyalty program.
